Staff was nice in greeting and seating us for hibachi. However, after placing an order for 4 waters we waited 25 mins. Then the waitress came back and took an appetizer order and still no waters. Now after about 40 mins of waiting I must not have looked happy so when the waitress looked at me she suddenly remembered our water we ordered and came back with them. As she finally brought the water she informed us she's going to tell the chef to start the appetizer we ordered like the chefs had no idea. Now we've been sitting at the hibachi table over an hour when other guests start sitting and our waitress brings out the sushi appetizer we ordered. It was disgusting, the fish was room temperature, the seaweed wrap was stale, hard and even the wasabi had a grey tinted color. Just for argument sake I tried a piece and immediately spit it out. We all immediately got up and left after informing the manager and went to the adjacent restaurant Smokey Bones because we were so hungry after waiting to be very disappointed. Smokey Bones was much better in many ways. First and last time here sad to say. If you're that short staffed then you shouldn't be taking reservations you can't serve. A big waste of time. Not to mention the table behind us was also not happy because they over seated the hibachi grill to where people are behind the chef and cannot even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen here twice now First visit was maybe 3 stars. Food was ok, the steak tasted a little freezer burnt. They one a generic glaze for most of their dish flavoring.
This second time though, from the start it looked rough. We ordered fried crab and cream cheese roll, and they easily filled that roll with 2/3 cream cheese and a sprinkle of crab.
The chef came out for the main course and was generally friendly, but completely unprepared. No salt or pepper on cart (kept just using what was at the table), barely use any seasoning at all on the food period (there were a few paper thin slims of butter in there so.ewhere, for food for 3), but the kicker was we ordered a salmon hibachi dinner, and he brought out COMPLETELY FROZEN SLABS of salmon. My girlfriend is a seafood manager and was horrified. We stared at it, then at the chef, and he just tapped on it as if he was surprised too, shrugged and kept cooking.
The restaurant itself is beautiful the employees in general are very friendly, and the manager did his best to compensate for the situation, but more lilely than not, none of their food is actually fresh and it's all frozen (my steak again had that slightly 'frozen too long' taste) and for the price they charge? I'd rather drive a bit further to go elsewhere.
Sadly I won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI looked at the menu and called in my order. When I got there to pick it up, I stood there for over 5 minutes until the same guy that walked by me twice and never said a word to me asked if I needed something. I told him I was there to pick up. He asked for my phone number and then asked me to pay. I got a lunch combination dinner, which, according to the menu, was $15.95. My bill was $20.15. After I received my receipt, I saw he changed me $16.95 and $2 to get chicken fried rice instead of pork. I questioned the $16.95 and even should him the menu on his counter, but all he said was that was the price in register, and the menu was old. I then asked him about the $2 upcharge, and the response was that chicken was more than pork. I told him no one mentioned that when I ordered, which customers have a right to know if you're going to charge extra and to change his menu to reflect the correct prices. His response was that it was only a dollar, so my response was that it was the last dollar I would give them. Very poor service and unprofessional, such a shame because the food was actually good. But they have no respect or integrity for customers, and that means more to me. They were all...
