Hardee's — Restaurant in Wytheville

Got off the interstate, pulled into the drive-thru around 2:30pm. Was craving chicken. There was one car ahead of me at the speaker. We waited and waited and waited. I thought maybe the speaker wasn’t working, so I backed up, drove around and saw 3 other cars at the pickup window.

I drove back into the parking lot, thinking, “I’ll just go inside, it will be quicker!”

Unhooked my seatbelt. Unplugged my phone, grabbed my purse and walked to the front door. It was locked.

I was irate. Googled that store and just called them. A female answered, I asked if the lobby was closed? She said it was, they were short staffed. I said I had been at the drive through and it had taken over 10 minutes and the car ahead of me still hadn’t ordered! She replied, “the morning shift just left, we have one person taking orders and one person cooking.”

I asked, “Who is the manager?” She remarked, “Me.”

I said this is BS! Your store is terrible. No reply from her, no “sorry”, nothing. So I hung up.

I WILL be calling corporate.

I blame management. You have 4 customers and think you’re slammed? Call some help in!...

The food is ok depending on who is working. Sometimes it's fresh other times it is clear that it's set out under the lamp for hours or has been over cooked horribly. My last 2 visits were horrible. Visit 1 I ordered the chicken strips paid over $13 for the meal and the strips I got were rock hard and so tiny they barely even equaled out to the siz of 1 normal chicken strip. Visit 2. The store hours are open until 10 pm they were closed at 9 with staff clearly inside just hanging out and doing nothing this has happened multiple times the store is randomly closed an hour to 2 hours before it should be again usually in those situations it appears to be the same staff involved as the ones who over cook and distribute horrible food. I just went through the drive through to order dinner an of course at 9pm they are closed again even though they are supposed to be...

Went thru drive through pretty quickly considering there were several vehicles in line when we pulled in. Placed our order and got our food and as we were driving noticed they had forgotten our chicken biscut so we had to turn around n go back. After getting back realized there were several people in line so we decided to pull in and take bag inside. The lobby is still closed so the doors are locked. So I went around to the window side door n knocked and one of the guys came and unlocked the door to see what my issue was. He was very nice n helpful. He knew exactly y I had come back. But because they put everything into small bag they had dumped the gravy in the bottom of the bag. So he replaced the gravy and the small hashrounds that had gotten soaked in gravy and brought it all back to me with my chicken biscut. He apologized and was very...
