I had an unfortunate experience with Yakima Thai cuisine last night, I did an online order and selected and paid for delivery. I’ve ordered delivery from them before and never had any issues however this time my order was never delivered. After about 45 minutes of waiting I received a phone call from a very rude server at the restaurant. This gentleman insisted that I screenshot my order and sent it to his cellphone, when I refused to do so and then this man insinuated that I was trying to get free food and that I was lying. Eventually I asked for a refund and was met with hostility from the gentleman on the phone. I then stated that I was not interested in arguing with him and that he could issue a refund or not but that I was not interested in continuing the phone call.
After getting off the phone I received an additional phone call from him, plus TWO text messages and then 2 more phone calls from the restaurant.
*in reply to the owners response. No refund was ever offered, even with the condition of sending a screenshot. Instead I was told “why should we pay for your mistake”.
I did not just “hang up” I informed the caller that I was finished having the conversation.
Professionalism from this establishment is sub-par and their staff is incredibly...
Read moreFriend had been before and was raving about it so we decided to go for lunch. Walking in the door, smelled very heavily of cleaning products and our tabletop had a film on it like they had just wiped it down with some kind of disinfectant.
We ordered the Spicy Fried Rice and Pahd Thai with Chicken. Rice was very blah, not really much flavor. The Pahd Thai was very flavorful but they didn't put any green onion so the presentation was very monochrome.
Service left very much to be desired. One lady handling 7 tables, people were waiting 15+ minutes just to order their food. We were in earlier than most tables so we were lucky. Then we asked for a to-go box for the leftover rice and we had to smash our food to get it all to fit as she brought us the world's tiniest container.
Overall, I think I'd get the Pahd Thai to go but don't think I'll add this establishment into my...
Read moreA small venture, but the curry is wonderful. The cook is currently running the restaurant on his own, so it's take out only. But don't let this deter you from giving his place a chance. He uses whole chili peppers in his curry, instead of a pre-ground powder. The yellow and musuman curries are mild. They still have heat, but not enough to delay your next bite. The green curry is definitely spicy, and will slow you down. Haven't tried the other curries yet, but the Pad Thai is decent. And the other noodle dishes are as expected. So far, I've found the curries here steal the show. Also, take out curry can last one eater two meals. He sends plenty of rice or a standard rice to curry ratio, although if you prefer your rice with a little curry, then you'll need to plan...
