Loved it my first time but after this last time, not sure I’ll be back??? The first time I tried Que Vida it was great. The food was wonderful, the service was super friendly and it felt they were going out of their way to make sure we were happy, and we were, that’s what I came back and brought friends! The food is still really good. But the service was not. From the beginning when we got there and went to set our stuff at the table. The table was dirty ( there were others clean) but it was the only one where everyone I. Our party could sit on a bench. So I started to clear and clean it myself. A server came and not so nicely told me that table was still dirty and not ready. ( yes that’s why I’m cleaning it) I moved out of the way to let him clean and he kept saying it’s not available it’s dirty…ok got it. So I left to go put in my order. Now to the table service. Our order came out really wrong. The server didn’t try to correct it. One person in our party ordered a taco and an enchilada a la carte. Responded no to being asked do you want beans and rice with that. I ordered two tacos a la carte and chips and salsa. His came as the 3 enchilada plate and 3 tacos came on my plate. The server wasn’t sure which tacos were which so he took them back. Then came back with a separate plate and said we could separate them on our own. Not a big deal but the other person didn’t order 3 enchiladas or rice and beans. The servers answer was oh well that’s what the guy put in when he took your order. No offer to fix it or refund the extra money charged. I didn’t have a cocktail the first time and I was excited to try one this time. I had the Que Fresca and he had the Que Bonita. Neither were anything special. Just meh. Our other friend ordered two glasses of wine so she wouldn’t have to get up to pay for another one later, all planned out with the person taking orders. We had to go ask for them to bring it, no one ever came back or checked to see if she was ready. So it seems they have gone down hill pretty quickly. Bummer. It was great when it wasn’t busy but not...

Given they just opened, I really wanted to give more stars, but I have to be honest. I was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant. I went with my wife late this afternoon. All of the tables were full so there is definitely a hype around it. The decor is clean and refreshed from the prior restaurant. The inside was nice. There are two TVs and bar to sit at. Not a ton of seating, but enough. It's not a huge place. This is a restaurant where you order at a front register and they bring the food to you. The whole time we were present, there was a line. The service was great. The staff seemed very happy to be there. Unfortunately, without this setup, I probably could have gone for another beverage or a dessert, but I just wasn't willing to wait in line again. We ordered the Queso Fundido. It sounded great but it arrived with the meal. I anticipated it would come out before. No big deal though. But the cheese wasn't fully melted, nor was it that hot. And it only came with 4 tortillas which wasn't nearly enough for the amount of cheese. For $11, avoid it. Given the name, I ordered the tacos. I've had probably every birria taco in town, and unfortunately, I would rate this one closer to the bottom of list. The al pastor soft taco wasn't anything special either. They came with rice and beans. My wife ordered the Cali Asada burrito. She wasn't impressed. I ate the end of it and enjoyed it. I liked the sauces that it came with. Note, my tacos didn't come with any sauce other than the consome. I got a beer, but I noticed their Que Chingon drink looked pretty good. I regret choosing the beer. All-in-all, we spent $55 plus tip. I'll probably try it again, but I prefer the other restaurants in...

I wanted to love this place however very disappointed so allow me to explain. On our way home from boating we were craving Mexican, since our fave spot was backtracking our route home,we chose Vida, we have one here near our home and always enjoy it, took a while to order our drinks, bartender was training so we waited,I gave up to use the ladies room, then we ordered, I had the classic margarita, understood its a measured pour but very weak, I ordered the Ceviche which was placed under heat lamp and sat there for a good 10 minutes, hubby ordered Burrito, which he really liked, my Ceviche was now warm when I asked to finally receive it as it sat a while, even after cook rang the bell but said nothing, there were 4guys behind the bar and it wasn’t busy at all. Ceviche had to go back, it was warm, got another one 10 minutes later, it was very blan and I had to add a lot of salt with only a few shrimp, loaded with veggies, salsa is blan too, took some home since we paid for it but I can add flavor from home.I would think at the very least, comp a drink or our chips n salsa, I know I would, friendly staff for sure but needs some revamping. I haven’t experienced this at our location in HB. Sadly we won’t return to the YL location. ( didn’t take...

Que Vida Tacos is brand new, and fantastic. The service, the food. Not to mention, EVERYTHING is made FROM SCRATCH (and with so much love!) Some highlights... The margaritas have NO ADDED SUGAR, which is so hard to find nowadays. The mango one in particular stood out to me, so good! This chile relleno using a HANDPICKED poblano pepper is the best l've had, filled with Oaxacan cheese... delicious. Handmade salsas ranging from mild to spicy and guacamole, paired with crispy homemade tortilla chips Incredible service who check on you MULTIPLE times to ensure everything is exactly how you want. HAPPY HOUR 3:00-6:00 PM M-F TACO TUESDAY All Day 3 Tacos for $11.95 Margaritas $7.95 A WEEKEND BRUNCH Breakfast items plus full menu Brunch drink specials
