I had a cart load of food so I couldn't go through the self-check registers because they are very small. There was only one cashier open. As I walked toward the one open cashier, I could see 4 young adult employees standing at the front of the store. Three of them were engaged in an obviously comical private conversation, and the 4th employee was texting on his cell phone. Hmmm... wouldn't the customers who ultimately pay their salaries be better served by these employees actually being productive for Weis? Perhaps they could have opened a second or third cash register so that customers wouldn't have to wait in a long line at the single cash register...
