Disappointing and will suggest you look elsewhere. Upon first entrance, guest service was very cold and felt like I was interrupting something. Felt like they just wanted me to move along as quick as they could get me moving. Getting off the elevator, turn to a hallway with towels stacked in the hallway and trash outside multiple doors. This could be something you find in any hotel but typically not this much if at all, and not at 11:00 at night. Throughout the night, it seemed all guests were only on the third floor and not sleeping as you would hear people walking down the hallway talking and doors closing all throughout the night. Occurrence was often enough to be disruptive to sleeping in a hotel. Now for the room, again very disappointing. Walking in, you see the carpet coming up where it meets the tile. The tile floor looks very beaten and has many dings and scratches. I go to jump in the shower and start to notice hair on the toilet and various places in the bathtub/shower itself. Scratches on the shower wall and tile appears to be patched where it has been broke or a poor fix was done. Then I fold back the covers to get into bed and much to my surprise, not clean. At first I brushed some crumbs and debris off of the sheets then upon folding moving the pillows, I see more hairs. This is not a clean bed by any means. And the tag for the sheet is where my head is, not at my feet. Simple things to do correctly, yet not accomplished. You can choose to put yourself here and get a night sleep, that is if you choose to do so. I would highly suggest finding another location as my experience was very far below anything acceptable.

COCKROACHES *BEWARE* My partner, my 2-year-old son, and I were staying in this hotel for 3 nights for our cross-country travel from Canada to Baltimore. We stopped here because the reviews seemed good, and trusted it would be a nice hotel to stay at. BOY, was I wrong for SO many reasons! First of all, there were cockroaches in our room, not 1 but 2! We managed to catch one of them, to bring to the front desk and because of this, we had to cut our trip short, check out early, and take all our clothing to a parking lot to shake everything out where we found ANOTHER cockroach in my two year olds clothing! They told us to contact the hotel manager, in which they gave us only 50% off of ONE of my nights! I wanted a full refund for everything we had to go through, but they chose to stop responding to my emails instead. ALSO, the front desk staff, are unprofessional and rude, eating food at the counter, gossiping, and talking about other guests staying there. THEN, My partner, my son and I were sitting down to eat breakfast and were the last ones there, and as we were sitting down to eat, the lady cleaning the breakfast area started yelling DIRECTING it to us, making us extremely uncomfortable, saying things like "WOW is it THAT hard to throw out a cup" "It was clean all day until NOW" "People don't know how to throw shit out I guess" - We literally didn't leave ANYTHING in there, so I'm assuming it was the people just before us who had 2 children with them. - I can't believe the hellish 2 nights I spent in this place, and advise you to READ THE REVIEWS!!!! - TRUST ME, DO NOT stay here!!!

Chose this hotel because it was close to the UPMC where my mother was having surgery. Upon arriving, the room we were given smelled of stale smoke as soon as we opened the door. I went down to the front desk and requested a new room due to the smell and also requested a room on a lower floor and closer to the elevator as my 82 year old mother has issues walking. Nope, we were given a room on the 3rd floor at the very end of the hallway. Rooms were not clean and in need of repairs. No linens were in the room for the pull out bed and when I called to the front desk requesting them, they said I had to come down to get them. (Whatever happened to room service) This room smelled no different than the other one. I learned they keep the common areas pretty cold to “mask the smells.” I would never recommend anyone paying 364.00 for 2 nights in this 1 star facility. Low end customer service at the front desk that needs to learn proper customer service skills when dealing with the public and elderly. I would never hire these people at my places of business. I called customer care to complain and after 13 minutes on the line with a rep, my call was disconnected. Save yourself the time and money and book somewhere else. Also… NO POOL AND NO HOT TUB BOTH ARE CLOSED DOWN

Reserved a room that was labeled "Non Smoking". King bed with seating area. I walked into a room that smelled like a cigar lounge. It was also very warm out that day and the AC was not on so it was that much worse. Room's couch had cushions smashed and one was on the floor. I called down to the front desk and said this was not a non-smoking room. They said they had other rooms available and to come back down to the front desk. When I got back down they told me no other rooms in the entire hotel were available. They ended up giving me a room that was an "emergency room" but this did qualify as an emergency. It was 2 double beds and no extra seating area. I mention this because my total bill ended up being higher than if I had stayed in the filthy, smoking room. I had to stop back at the front desk during my visit to get this corrected as I looked at the future bill in my Wyndham app and saw it was higher. They adjusted the bill but no other accommodations, or even a "Sorry", was provided for the trouble. Breakfast was just OK. Whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, why should I have to pay more for a lesser room when I was not provided the room I had reserved. Won't be back. Update: the hotel’s response is simply not true. While I had originally reserved a regular king room I had updated my reservation to a king room Executive Suite and will happily forward the email to prove it. That is the room I was placed in as it was the room I reserved. No “free upgrade” was given. And, yes, if you look at my final bill it is slightly lower for the two double beds than the Executive Suite because, as I said in my review, I had to stop at the front desk to review my bill as the Wyndham app showed the new bill for the double bed rooms was higher and a manager had to adjust the bill accordingly once I explained the situation. The person even said it was a mistake and not done correctly with how the updated bill was done. So no, I am not lying and I am giving an honest review of what it is like staying at...

Buyer beware! ZERO STARS IF IT WERE AN OPTION!

If you book through a group and have to cancel prior to your stay, make sure you do it 14 DAYS in advance! A team tournament was canceled a week before the event for reasons beyond our control. Although this was fully explained to the manager at La Quinta Inn York, they still went ahead and charged us each a $60 cancelation fee. Hoping that La Quinta York might exhibit some customer friendly business with me, I asked if they would be willing to waive the fee if I were to book another stay there at some point in time in the future. Tournaments are held in that area regularly and I am sure we will need to book another hotel in York in the near future. The manger I spoke with was very cold, repeated La Quinta's "policy" for group cancelations, and chose to stick with the $60.00 charge going onto my credit card. We each must make our own decisions about things, but I will warn all that if you do not cancel your group booking 14 days or more before your scheduled stay, you will be charged a hefty amount for the cancelation. Don't bother to try to explain anything to them, because, as this manager proved, they don't care. I will personally choose not to use a La Quinta at all from this point forward. My decision probably doesn't mean a thing to the multitude and La Quinta, but I'm making that decision anyway. If and when I must book a hotel in or near York again, I will choose to book at any of the following hotels over La Quinta York. My business with them is over.

My family and I came up to PA for an overnight trip. We found this hotel on Google and thought that it looked up to date and modern so we booked it. Unfortunately I didn’t look at the reviews before booking which I should have.

We arrived and the night staff at the front desk wasn’t the nicest and seemed like he had better things to do. After we got checked in, we went up to the room and my wife took off her shoes and noticed the floor was sticky. She thought it had just been cleaned so naturally could have felt sticky but was really just a little wet. Nope. Hours later it was still sticky.

After staying in the room for a bit, it was time to get ready for bed and we went to arrange the room so our son who is 1.5 years old could be in his pack and play and be blocked so he can’t see us (so he falls asleep without distractions). We went to move the couch and when we did, there were crumbs from who knows when underneath. Not just little crumbs, I am talking pepperonis, full French fries, chunks of bread, etc. immediately we called down to the front desk and they offered to move us to another room so we did. At 9:30pm. This was after blatantly asking ‘are you wanting a discount or new room?’

Once in the new room, we moved the couch again and noticed it hadn’t been cleaned. We know this because we found the remote that had been replaced already. Also more crumbs. This room wasn’t that bad though so we stayed.

In the morning, our son was running around and the corner piece that protects the wall corner fell off randomly and crashed to the floor, luckily missing him. We tried putting it back on but it was useless.

One last thing we noticed is the water is scorching hot. Don’t let your kids at any age control the water temperature of the bath/shower/sink because it is hot enough to make a grown man cry.

We won’t be staying in this hotel any time...
