Don't listen to all the entitled Karens all over this post giving this WingStop terrible reviews; most of the reviews are for slow service, which is to be expected for a NEW restaurant. This is one of the first new wing restaurants in York in a long time and they've only been open for THREE WEEKS, no wonder they're slow because orders are probably pouring in like crazy. Yes, the wait is long. BUT their quoted times are accurate. Am I happy waiting an hour and a half for an order of wings? Of course not. But did I know I was going to wait an hour and a half to get them when i ordered them? Yeah. Duh. Give them a few weeks and for the hype to die down if you think you're going to give a bad review for a long wait time.
People who are complaining about service obviously haven't worked in retail or the food industry before...when you put a bunch of young people in charge of a new restaurant with orders pouring in and people not understanding about the wait times and overwhelming orders, of course they're going to be tired of getting belittled and yelled at (especially by some of the terrible people in the reviews). They're human. We're all human. Please treat them with kindness and understand they've probably been in a constant rush of orders from opening to close.
Food wise, it's exactly as you'd expect from other WingStops--fantastic sauces and ranch seasoned fries. Better quality food than Buffalo wild wings, but not as good as Quaker or Fig and Barrel (but they're not competing in the same category anyways).
If you want an honest WingStop experience, come back in a month or two when they aren't swamped with orders the entire time. For me, there's obviously things that could be done better but they're doing the best they can as a brand new restaurant and gave me exactly what I expected. Since this review below we have tried them again. I am pleased to say they have done a much better job. For the most part our orders have been correct and very good.
New Year’s Eve we were having friends over and they picked up Wingstop for us to eat. When we sat down to eat together the 75 wings we only had maybe 25 wings. Go back to the place to get the rest of our order and are accused of lying about the order. Never were offered to have the order remade immediately, was told we be out at the end of the line. Thankful my friend got a full refund. Customer service sucks. My husband and I went the next day to try them since we couldn’t get any the day prior. When my husband picked it up a young thin lady ask his name. He gives it to her and she checks the rack at the bags sitting there. She says your order is not ready. Husband looks for himself and sure enough our food is there on the shelf. He grabs the food with his name and credit card info on it and goes to leave. This young lady runs after him and grabs his arm telling him it wasn’t his. Do not touch anyone!! He showed her the proof it was his and he left. I must say, it was pretty good food. That’s the only reason there was one more star. We probably won’t be back since customer service is so bad. They’ve been open for 2 weeks at this point they should not be...
Read moreI have been going to the Wingstop on Route 30 in York PAfor the past year and every experience I have is worse than the last. For starters, i ordered online over an hour before arrival and the order still was not ready. I was told that it would take a bit longer and offered me a free drink. I asked again and then was told “less than 5 minutes” which it was not. After another 10 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund and to speak with the manager. The manager was underdtsnding of the situation but did not appear to want to remedy the food order that took at this point over 90 minutes. I received my refund and left the food as it wasn’t even offered to me considering the long wait. This is a constant issue with this specific Wingstop. The food orders are incredulously slow, the employees often do not care to remedy situations with customers, and people are often just standing around. I have waited near 2 hours multiple times for orders as I constantly try to give this place a chance but they disappoint me everytime. The food being good does not excuse how long of a wait it is and it definitely does not excuse the poor management and customer service.
