First of all, all I can say is that RO is an absolute gem of a spot. Not only is it gorgeous, the food is INCREDIBLE (I mean, honestly exquisite in flavor, and presentation) but the staff is just above and beyond. We sat in the outdoor lounge and it was just beautiful.
The sommelier Hunter took so much time talking to my (rather difficult!) elderly father and was so gracious and welcoming. I know he must have had a million things to do, and never rushed him- he was so patient and kind (not to mention INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, I mean, wow!) I can’t say how much I appreciate him taking the time and how much fun my dad had talking champagne with him. He hasn’t stopped talking about it.
Our waitress Kaitlyn was absolutely lovely and checked in on us many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Her food recommendations were spot on! She was so sweet with my dad and again, the patience of a saint.
My father will be in the area again next month and made a reservation to return before we even left the restaurant!
I cannot recommend RO and its staff...
Read moreI am a huge fan of Thomas Keller and was really excited to come here! I was greeted by a woman who kept on asking me if it was a party of 4 and I kept saying YES, when there was clearly 4 of us standing together (we were the only ones standing there). It wasn’t in a way that she kept forgetting, but in a way to just be mean. It certainly wasn’t the warmest welcome, especially for the money I was about to pay. If you come on weekends SIT OUTSIDE! It’s 20 dollars per person extra to sit inside, the patio is beautiful! Once we sat down, our server was super friendly, which is a huge relief. Definitely get the caviar tasting and add on the golden osetra for an extra 20 dollars. The garden vegetable crudité is beyond good. It’s super simple and the green goddess dressing that comes with it is really refreshing. The pigs in a blanket are OK, and skipable. The scallops are yummy and also have a delicious green sauce. The fried crab is also good! I really love it here, but the rudeness I experienced at the start left a bad taste...
Read moreI’ve wanted to dine here for a while and finally got the chance while in town this summer. We specifically made our reservation during happy hour but when we arrived we were told that they just changed the hours for it a few days before, so we missed it. That was a huge disappointment, there were multiple items that i wanted to try on that menu and our bill ended up way higher than it would’ve been. Everything sounded so delicious but sadly most of it ended up pretty underwhelming. The uni toast should have had more uni for how thick the bread was, the charred cabbage was forgettable, and the toro roll was nothing to write home about. My favorite items ended up being the pork katsu sando, the caviar spread, and the strawberry chouquette dessert. Honestly most items were way overpriced, i’m fine with paying more for great food but this just wasn’t worth it. If i came back i would definitely stick to just their caviar spread and a few drinks. I think happy hour would’ve been better for our group so it’s too bad they...
