Hill Family Estate — Attraction in Yountville

We booked through Napa Valley Wine Excursions and were greeted by Eric and Emily with a bottle of bubbly we actually got to saber ourselves. Next we were given a tour of the facility and vines. At the tasting we arrived to a customized menu that even wished me a happy birthday! It was so peaceful and relaxed. Eric was so knowledgeable about the entire process and even delved into the chemistry of the wine making with us. Doug Hill made an appearance at the end and chatted with us for a while. Emily was so welcoming and friendly as well. It was like we were part of the family when we left. Not only was the atmosphere spot on but the wines were fantastic as well! Good price points and probably the best tasting of our entire tour. I cannot recommend the Hill Family Estates enough! Defiantly a highlight to our trip and we hope to visit...

This is the gold standard for hospitality in all of Napa Valley. A last minute addition to our schedule, we ended up at the tasting room when we had appt at winery (entirely my fault). No problem as the owner volunteered to drive us over personally - while graciously engaging us the entire time. The family stuff really permeates the entire brand and is incredible.

If this wasn’t enough - the actual tasting is amazing. The wines are unique and complex (and very good). The real treat is the is the garden samples picked for your tasting. The flavors are something out of Willie Wonka - they almost seem out of this world with freshness. The host, Armando, was knowledge and beyond friendly. It was by far our favorite visit of our entire trip.

The hospitality and service at Hill Family was by far the best we experienced in all of Napa Valley during our time here. Before we arrived, they called to customize our tasting menu based on what kind of wine we were wanting to try. We arrived to personalized tasting menus. Sara took the time to get to know us and provided some off menu options that matched our palette, including a Carneros Albariño that was delicious. The whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and part of the family, including assisting us with air transport of our bottles, coffee recommendations, and future travel advice. We will absolutely make Hill Family a priority during future visits...
