This is going to sound weird, but the funghi pasta made me cry. It was that good.
Yes, I am a crier, but there were so many other things that we're good about this place that the whole experience is definitely 5 stars.
I usually don't like seeing truffle oil or truffle stuff on a dish. I feel like it can overpower the whole thing, and some restaurants just dribble it at the end and it really doesn't go with other flavors of the dish. It's just a nice pricey add-on at the end. That was not the case with this dish. The truffle cheese melted on your tongue and mingled with every different mushroom they had (I counted 4 I think). I loved separating them to taste each unique flavor for some bites, and then shoving them all in at once cause they worked so well together! I am an umami fiend. It's kind of a problem actually.. But anyway this dish just drowned me in earthy umami flavor and I just wanted to sit and suffocate in it all.
My cocktail (can't remember which one, sorry) was a touch too sweet for me. My wine pairing was perfect, our antipasto misto was delicious, and my husband had the osso buco which was good but I just wanted to eat my freakin pasta.
My husband forced me to tell the waitress to let the chef know I was brought to tears. I think she thought I was exaggerating, but she said the chef appreciated it.
Wheelchair accessible, cute little brick building, nice open, dimly lit...
Read moreThis is my first time here and can't wait to try more. We want to try the lasagna and the drinks next time.
We had: Mocha Panna Cotta Torta Della Nonna Costine Alla Senape (ribs) Pappardelle Ai Funghi Tagliatelle Alla Peperonata (they ran out of this e dish but called me to offer a great alternative. I didnt catch what it was)
The items are fairly priced for the entrees and desserts. The pasta tastes fresh, I wouldn't doubt it'd taste twice as better if it was dine-in.
The ribs were amazing, fall off the bone tender, and the marinade was delicious) I wish we could've had sides with it but the takeout menu is limited which is understandable.
There is an outdoor patio but we didn't have a chance to see inside the restaurant. Can't wait to bring our family and friends post the stay...
Read moreThis place is tucked in office buildings so it's a little hard to find. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. It's nice and lovely inside, dim lighting providing a nice dining ambiance. We started with the Proscuitto e Burrata which is amazing. Since neither of us was in the mood for pasta, my husband ordered the Osso Bucco and I took the Risotto al Pesce. I love my dish- creamy with a lot of seafood. Hubby found his Osso Bucco lacking in flavor though so he ended up eating stuff off my plate more. Despite not enjoying his order so much, we will still come back and try their other offerings. We ended the dinner with the Panna Cotta. It was...
