Aubree's Pizzeria & Grill — Restaurant in Ypsilanti Charter Township

The owner of this franchise as well as the general manager have reached out to me to express their apologies on this matter and things have been made right. I do frequent this restaurant often (generally to go to the bar) and while the experience I had was negative, it was only going to deter me from suggesting this as a place for a group to get a meal, not a place for anyone to go to get a drink.

That being said, with the assurance of the owner and GM, I will be bringing my family back here for another try. I have 100% confidence that the issue will not happen twice and am looking forward to returning.

I have updated my rating to add three stars for how quickly this situation was addressed as I very much appreciate how hard everyone has worked to make this right.

My wife and I come here a lot. We really like the place and the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately this review is based on a visit we just had that was absolutely awful.

We decided to take our 2 and a half year old son out to dinner. We get sat and told that our server will be right with us. Ten minutes later we are greeted and offered drinks. Fifteen minutes after that (with no communication in between) we get our drinks. Ten minutes later we are offered an appetizer. We order our full meal, we've been here 35 minutes. We know what we want.

We wait. For an hour we wait. No table touch. No approach at all from our server. She passes us and refuses to make eye contact. Our toddler is furious. We are anxious to get him out of there. At the hour mark I go to the bar as I feel I'd have a better chance talking to our bartender to just leave.

Our server sees me and asks if anything is wrong. Holding my tongue I tell her we are ready to go. She tells me our food is almost ready and if we want they can box up our orders. I agree and my family goes to the car to wait. Fifteen minutes after that I get handed my food. Ice cold. Our orders were not almost finished, they had been sitting for a while now.

I get home. My son won't eat his dinner. My wife orders food from a different restaurant. I paid $40 for nothing.

I will never sit anywhere but the bar again. The service is abysmal anywhere else. My son will never come here for dinner again. If I want to find a restaurant to bring my family, Aubree's isn't it.

Unfortunately my night has been ruined. I have never felt so...

I had set up a dinner for my family for a funeral only to be disappointed. The manager I believe his name was Mike told me they had a room that could fit 50 people but no more because 50 people would be pushing it. I wanted a limited menu but they could not accommodate that unless they knew how many people were coming. (Fyi nobody rsvps to a funeral) He did say I could do a pizza, soup, and salad bar which I was not happy about but the funeral was for a child so we went with it because they could not accommodate a limited menu. Upon arrival we found the room could only fit 32 people comfortably. Half of my family had to sit out in the dining area. We were then told that the soup was not suppose to be included and that they did not have enough for us. When I asked where the manager was they told me he was not there today. The woman working as acting manager was actually the bartender. Nothing was set up for us when we arrived and the fact that I was told they could accommodate us was a lie. They had no clean cups for us nor silverware. We had to hunt for silverware ourselves. So in our time of grief I walked the restuarant looking for silverware for my family to eat with as the server was nowhere to be found when we needed her because she was taking other tables as well. I was supposedly given a 70 dollar discount by the acting manager for our troubles. If I had know all of this would happen I would have never set this up here. The bill did not show a discout and was not even detailed to show how many people they served. Needless to say myself and my family were not happy with the service and will...

For starters, my party of 4 was sat in an awful corner booth where people were walking past and standing near us constantly making for an uncomfortable meal. Second, our Waitress Alyssa, did not greet us with her name (I was able to get it from a friend who had dined there before and knew her) and she was extremely unattentative leaving us ready to order for nearly 20 minutes, and walking past us 6 times with empty glasses and plates on the edge of the table without bothering to pre-bus or ask if we'd like refills. Third, pur food took an hour and a half to be prepared. In this time we watched a table finish eating, pay, a new family come in and sit at that table, then order and recieve their entire meal all before we received ours. To top everything off, the pizza i ordered was a fairly simple, half margerhita, half pep sausage, and the pizza came half marg, 3 slices of pep bacon, and one slice with 2 pieces of sausage. When i brought it up to the waitress, i was gaslit to believe the "sausage just crumbles up weird". Luckily, Im a fan of bacon and the pizza tasted great, but it....was not what i ordered. I also didnt ask for, or imply i wanted anything else to make up for it, and still they decided to gaslight me. We had gone in trying to have a nice birthday dinner for my girlfriend and instead we were met with an uncomfrotable environment where we were forced to wait a very long time for food I didnt even order then was gaslit to believe I was in the wrong.
