Awesome service and atmosphere. Fried chicken and fish, great choices. First visit, I ordered cabbage because I love food and didn't want to be disappointed with the greens...(my BF considers me to be a food critic) I was also warned about the candied yams and mac and cheese.. Didn't order the yams but I did grab some mac and cheese. It was good but the macaroni was cooked past aldente before being baked, so it was way too soft; and in addition to the noodles not being drained enough, the bottom of the lil bowl was filled with water. I was still pleased because I've been waiting for a black owned spot like this for a while. Returned three days later to try again... Ordered the catfish dinner with mac and cheese again but this time I figured I'd order greens and sweet potatoes... Should've stuck with the cabbage, greens had to be canned glory greens, mac and cheese was soft and wet again but the melted cheese covers it so it's half gone before you realize how soft it is... But pass on the sweet potatoes... I love sticky yams with a lil stiffness... The sweet potatoes I was served had to be from can straight to bowl. Should've used a spoon because they were too soft to eat with a fork. No sugar no nutmeg no cinnamon no brown sugar no glaze no nothing not a marshmallow. (Baked sweet potato would've been better) Asked for to go boxes! Put the mac in the container first, then I poured juice from the greens into the mac bowl before putting them in the box... Then I literally had to pour out so much liquid from the potatoes before boxing them up...😞💔 I would've left them there but they were 3 dollars, and I was being watched. I couldn't be mad tho, because I was warned about them. I may try again, wanted to bring moms and my BF but idek now. I love the atmosphere a lot and my people more. I'll give it some time before I try again ($50 in two visits is a bit much to get the sides I got)... in the middle of the day instead of an hour before closing. Bottom line is good food...

When dealing with businesses, Food Service especially, consistency is key. I have seen a few reviews from people who have tried them for the first time and I can say, as a regular, they consistently provide good quality food on the regular basis. For quite some time I was addicted.
My favorite is the 6 for 6 lunch special. They offer Customers 6 different entree options for lunch all priced the same. My favorite is the chicken wing lunch. The lunch comes with a side and your choice of bread. I love the Mac and Cheese. It is the best in the area. One of my favorites honesty. The portion is perfect for lunch. Not to heavy but just enough to get you through the work day.
What I love about Cuppys is that they provide great food on the regular basis. The food is fresh, the portions are perfect and THE SEASONING IS PERFECT!
The only place better to get some soul food is going to be your family’s house ookkkk.
Keep up the amazing food!

Read moreMaybe it is better when you eat there vs ordering for delivery? I stupidly ordered the fried green tomatoes,(craving that crunchy tangy spicey bite), mushy, too thin, and bland and no remoulade or any sauce...$5.99 for 4 super thin slices which were battered, no cornmeal texture whatsoever. I even tried crisping in toaster oven and made a quick remoulade myself, still mush and tasteless. The potato salad was mush too, not a single chunky bite, tasted like mostly mayo and overcooked overworked potatoes. The baked beans were so sweet i couldn't even give them to my dog. The ribs, awful. Mostly fat, over charred outer layer with gristle, fat and cartilage inside...very disappointing meal! Only got 2 stars because delivery was accurate and prompt, and because my husband's chicken was good. Bill came to over 50 dollars and most of the food went into the trash. Will not recommend to anyone period. I love good "soul food"...this isn't that great and is way overpriced for what amounts to...
