I cannot in good conscience recommend eating here. I get the idea that a dive restaurant still retains a charm that keeps people coming back, but I didn't see it when my wife and I ate here.
The atmosphere is terrible. The windows looked like they haven't been washed or wiped clean since the day the building went up. The place itself looks like it has had basic maintenance put to the wayside. Hopefully that has since changed from when my wife and I visited.
The table we had was sticky, like it hadn't at least been wiped down since the last people there had eaten. There were tables that still had plates and bowls from previous customers on them. The staff did not appear to be short handed in any way, and there was less than 5 customers when my wife and I came in. The tables being a mess and all those plates and bowls still being out is inexcusable. Staff seemed more interested in their conversations than taking care of customers, or even doing basic cleanup. I get the distinct feeling something bad may have happened that impacted all of the staff, which may be the driving reason for my bad experience. If that is the case then I do feel sorry for everyone. But on the same token, it may be better to just remain closed for the day to let everyone deal with whatever it is that's going on, instead of making everyone work. That is why I am giving this 2 stars instead of one. I feel like there was a time this was once the place to eat great pho, but now that special something is gone, and the owners are just going through the motions until it's time to hang up their hats. I sincerely hope that isn't the scenario but I feel like it is.
I was hoping our pho would somehow redeem everything else, but I was disappointed when it didn't. The meat in my pho had been freezer burned. It has a distinct taste that can't be covered up no matter what you season it with or how you cook it. It always reveals itself for what it is. The vegetables in our spring rolls were wilted and soft. I don't know if this lack of quality comes from a lack of care, from trying to be cheap, or using a fridge or freezer that needs servicing or replacement, but no matter what, it needs to be looked into and resolved.
I do try to support local business over big chains, but experiences like this one don't give me much reason to recommend it. I do hope that whatever the staff is going through, they can endure it and hopefully bring this place back to whatever previous...

We weren’t sure at first they were open because it looks a little rundown in the parking lot and then there was only two cars parked in the back out of sight.
We walked in to an empty restaurant and about a minute or two later out walks a lady. She says “carry out or dine in” very harshly and sounding very annoyed.
We both said “dine in” and she said “find a seat I’ll be with you when I can.” Totally fine as maybe there’s carry out orders and it’s too much. So we went to sit down.
While walking by my fiance asked if he could grab the menus for us to look at while we waited since it was going to be a bit. She responded “Don’t touch those, I WILL bring them to you.” Once again she sounded so annoyed and like we were a major problem coming in.
I had sat down and looked at him and we ultimately decided to leave.
No one wants to eat at a place they feel they’re a problem for coming in.
Highly disappointed. Was really hoping to find a new pho place within reasonable driving distance.
I will say the place was cute and the...
Read moreJune 2017 Update: Since the original review this place has turned. Food quality has dropped and service has turned hostile if not nonexistent. In my last three visits, I have had wrong orders, floating insects in the soup, and undercooked poultry. Not once did they take responsibility or offer an apology. Rather they tried to blame the customers for their mistakes and still charge for the full order. I returned the day after a poor service to talk to a manager and everyone just pointed fingers. They blamed me for opening doors to let bugs in. Thanks Pho House. I will be sure to never come back to open your doors. Filthy bathrooms, torn booth seats duct taped with ants crawling in and out the crack, fleas in the food.... someone needs to report this place for sanitation violations. June 2013: The vegetarian pho is excellent (mushroom based broth) with lots of vegetables. The vegan spring rolls and tofu bahn-mi (sandwich) are both very delicious. The store may be easy to miss for first time visitors as the black-and-white sign doesn't stand out. A strong recommend for vegan/vegetarians. Another hole-in-the-wall with excellent food but sub...
