Please avoid this place. I do not even know where to begin. It is a small hole in the wall and the food was not terrible, but all the other aspects of it were the worst. This place is soooo dirty. The ceiling has decor hanging from it that has a ton of spider webs and dust. As you are eating you can just see dust particles flying through the air. You can see that they have dust piled all over their vents in the kitchen. I had to send back my water because there were things floating inside it. They have decor up for every holiday, even a Christmas tree, which tells me that they do not care how their place looks or that they never clean. You have to go through their kitchen to use the bathroom which is not smart on their end. There were flies all over the place in the kitchen and food was kept on the floor. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The walls and windows where we were eating were very dirty. Our server had a major attitude. She walked up to us and asked if we were ready to order. No hello, no menus. We asked for menus. She physically huffed and puffed when my husband asked for a plate for the nachos that we ordered so that we could share. She did not check on us once during our meal and sat with the cooks who were on break eating. Our nachos had steak and the steak was very fatty. We had to ask for a box and the bill. It costed us $41 to eat a shared nacho, torta, chips, one pop and a small side of rice. I asked for an itemized receipt because it did not make sense and she said she did not have one. She then with an attitude broke down all of the prices for me and said that the machine adds more money when paying with a card. I could not believe how rude she was. I am not sure which was worse: the atmosphere or the service. I am unsure how this establishment continues to be allowed to be open with all of the food...
Read moreI might just have a new favorite taco spot in Ypsi. If you're looking for an unassuming restaurant that provides killer food at a reasonable price - look no further!
I've been to Taqueria La Marqueza a few times now and each time has left me wanting to go back immediately. The food is spectacular, and the staff is super friendly; they were really helpful in trying to understand the best options.
My personal recommendation: get the Chorizo! It's fantastically seasoned, and truly leaves you wanting to eat about 7 metric tons of it. It's great in the tacos, and their burrito is an excellent value as well. If you're doing a takeout order, my pro-tip is to get some tacos and order a burrito for lunch the next day!
The restaurant's red & green salsas are both excellent -- make sure to grab some extra because you'll probably want to drink it with a straw.
Still reading the review? Is Taqueria La Marqueza open? If yes, go order some food!
PRO TIP: The fried cheesecake is a MUST HAVE. Don't miss it,...

I went in at 9:20pm, I was told they would accommodate me but was"starting to shut down for the night" , they were supposed to be open until 10pm.... I order my food which included a quesadilla and over ten tacos , I asked for onion on my quesadilla and dude agreed but said it would cost extra,i got it with just meat and cheese with a little uncooked onion in a very small container ON THE SIDE.. My "beef tacos" came with two shells, a tiny bit of solantra and a small amount of what they called beef, but was extremely "grissely" and one of the craziest to me, they didn't put literally any cheese on any taco! I was never informed that it would only be a little "meat" , two dry shells and no cheese! It's a shame because I eat Mexican all the time and live within a mile of this place but overall, I simply couldn't recommend this to anyone, i wish someone would of warned ME. ONE star is giving them an...
