Here's the updated review since as you can see below, the owner doesn't want own up to the fact that his meat and ingredients are left out in steam table trays at lukewarm temperature. The owner accuses other restaurants of having preservatives and artificial flavorings in their ingredients, while his/her meat looks days old, with the oil and fat separated/floating on the top. Its as fresh as you using your left over taco meat in your fridge, after taco Tuesday family night. "The difference between big brands and family owners" is "big brands" actually have the cliental to push there freshly chopped vegetables and grilled/cooked meat out the door, while yours sits all prepped a day or two beforehand. Sitting in awful pools chipotle sauce and solidified fat.
Looking in the back (the part exposed to the front room) there was a whole prep table area, cover in empty Jarritos bottles, and trash. Great way to attract ants, and the health department. I've worked in restaurants before, and my first review only focused on how awful the lukewarm taco meat and sides (Spanish rice and black beans) really were. However, the owner's pride is more than just counterintuitive, when considering costumer service. One could also assume that the owner's pride and stubbornness could lead to a public health risk or food poisoning.
I ordered a taco and a Quesada, with a side Spanish rice and black beans, at 8:30 P.M on 4/19/22. I'm sorry to say, it was the worse taco/quesada/Spanish rice, and black beans I've ever had. Might have been the worse black beans in the country to be honest. I truly felt sick afterwards, and felt like I was in a episode of...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer to this great family. In any location I’ve always get a very very good customer service, as we say in Spanish “mi casa es su casa- my house it’s your house”, it’s like that, you get there and you feel welcome. Any food you pick, it will be great, like the typical beef taco’s delicious just add guacamole home made and enjoy and just if you want to have more mexican flavor, pair your tacos with agua de horchata o Jamaica -hibiscus- but if for instance you’re vegetarian ask for those tacos or quesadillas options. Just enjoy and you will be enjoying a little from the...
Read moreStopped in last night after a long day on my way home, I hadn't noticed them before. Multiple options for vegetarians (mushrooms al pastor, grilled veggies, potato and poblanos) and my husband LOVED his drowned burrito made with grilled veggies. He's still talking about it. The tamales were great and are prepared in house, I got pork but chicken and cheese with chiles also available. Owners are Salvadoran and have some additional Salvadoran options available depending on the day and what's fresh -- owner says they can do pupusas, pan salvadoreño, sopa de gallina etc. Sweet family...
