Tipsy Ypsi - Paint and Pour — Attraction in Ypsilanti

After having a great experience at Paint and Pour - Ann Arbor (using Groupon) my family decided to try the Dearborn site. They offer kids classes every Saturday morning and they are a lot of fun. Check their website to see what projects they have lined up. We did "BB-8" from the new Star Wars movie.

This Paint and Pour is found in downtown west Dearborn with plenty of free parking. It's tucked away (but easy to find) in a cool brick courtyard that was previously inaccessible to the public. I grew up in this town, but had never seen this courtyard. Nothing fancy, but it's over 100 years old so still pretty cool. Lots of dining/bar options within a block or two.

Inside, there is a ton of room and two painting rooms. It easily has twice the space of Ann Arbor. Plenty for our group.

The staff was very friendly and everyone there seemed to have a great time. Whenever anyone had any questions, they were quickly helped. After we were done, everyone took a group photo. They were kind enough to let us keep our paintings there as we ventured out and grabbed a bite to eat. When we returned an hour later, there was an adult group that looked to be having a blast.

Today I went in and was told that I had canceled my reservations when I never did and that the event was full and had no more openings. I was also told that my spot was already given away. I stood there calmly as I could and waited for her to correct the issue. It was two ladies at the counter. They both delayed the rectification of my situation that was caused by their negligence and proceeded to help others check in. When one of the ladies could of checked everyone else in and the other one could of continue to help me. That was very unprofessional. You don’t keep telling a customer that they canceled the reservation and that the event was full. So after the last time they kept stopping to help me and help others I told the girl that I will just reschedule. I was very upset when I left and I know both of the women could tell. They did nothing but talk about me behind my back as I walked out. I live no where near this place in Dearborn on Michigan ave. I live near 11 mile in oak park. For this to be my first time at an event like this, i will never try to come back at this facility. I was treated like my time was not valuable and I did not matter...

Poor customer service and very unorganized. I and a group of friends purchased tickets to a class from a offer on groupon. First their groupon code wasn't working when you tried to apply it, so one of their "associates" had a "manager" contact me to take down me & my boyfriends codes from groupon to see what the problem was. She assured me that we we're all set and to go ahead apply them to their site. I did this and got a confirmation. However when I get there this associated is telling me that me nor my boyfriend are not registered for this class, at this point I'm livid & in disbelief. After 20 minutes of this associate TEXTING HER "BOSS" to get this figured out, we FINALLY got to paint. She's lucky I had other guests there and had paid or I would have left.
