HK China One — Restaurant in Ypsilanti

This place is the absolute worst when it comes to customer service, quality, communication and all around honesty. I called to place my order at 11:09 AM, before placing my order I proceeded to ask a few questions. Do you deliver to the hospital? Will the order arrive before noon? Can I receive a call upon arrival? The lady that took my call spoke English(well enough. Keep in mind cause this will matter later) At 12:01 PM I received a call from who I thought was the delivery driver. However it was a man calling to tell me that the delivery driver can’t speak English and can’t find where I asked for delivery and If he’s unable to find it he will leave it on the steps!!!! I received a total of 3 call from 3 different individuals claiming to be a manager, I was hung up on and had to call back. Still no one solved my problem I was told “it was out of their delivery scope” when I tell you it’s a 7 minute drive, I was just met with excuse after excuse, then I was sent to a voicemail. My partner and I unexpectedly ordered from SS China One aka HK China One aka Sushi One on Doordash. We tried to avoid HK China One based on past reviews and ordered from Sushi One thinking it was a different place. The negative reviews are spot on. The food here is bad. Not terrible but I would never willingly purchase or eat this food again, even if it was free. The crab rangoon was cooked in old and/or spoiled oil. The vegetable fried rice tasted freezer-burnt. The egg roll had no flavor. My General Tso's bean curd was soupy/watery but my partner's General Tso's chicken was dry as I don't know what. The sauces tasted old and store bought and left a sour taste in my month. The veggies were just sad -- brown and limp. Even reheating the food in the microwave the next day made my kitchen and skin smell like old cooking oil. It also gave me a zit from all the oil lol. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the stench of rancid cooking oil. Against my better judgement I decided to order to go. The food was hot by the time I got home.
