The Refuge Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Yuba City

I heard mixed things about the restaurant some good some really bad. The food is not bad at all. For the price you pay, you get your money's worth. It would have been nice to see a face when you walk-in. That was not the case for, honestly we were a little lost cause the seating area is on the right down the hall and me being a first timer it gets confusing. But don't let that stop you from going to the place. The service, our waiter Courtney was a sweet heart. She was very attentive and a BIG help.

The food, OMG are the portion massive. And honestly one cannot leave this place still hungry for more food. They give you plenty of food for your evening out. And the food is GOOD. The one thing I really liked about them is how they give you food as a whole not cut into little pieces like some restaurants do. For instance we ordered egg rolls, the egg rolls came as a whole not one egg rolls cut into two pieces like you get at chili's. The food does take it sweet time to come. So don't go alone go with someone makes the time go fast. But then again I don't want to compliant the food was good. Good food makes up for the time.

From walking into the Refuge and walking out was truly a great experience for me and my wife. I can honestly say YOU won't be disappointed. Try them and see for yourself. As for me I am most definitely will be going...

The food was delicious, we had Tandoori Chicken, Vegetarian Tikka Masala and an unexpected (I’ll explain) Butter chicken.

The service was lacking. We came in for dinner the gentleman attending us was nice, but the attitude changed when we brought up that he had made an error. We ordered a #25 and #60 I remembered the order number. But we got my #60 and unexpectedly #34, butter chicken. When we asked the waiter to just confirm what we thought we ordered, the response was “no you didn’t! “ which then made that interaction quite hostile. Like he wouldn’t admit or apologize for the error but just played it like we got it wrong. Which in my experience, is not the best approach. My husband didn’t want to make a fuss, so we ordered the Tandoori Chicken since that’s really what he was craving and we kept the additional dish that we did not order.

Again the food was delicious so it’s unfortunate the service lacked professionalism, accountability or even just kindness. Not sure if...

This has got to be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The quality of service was amazing and the food was the best I've ever had. It literally feels like fine dining inside and the wait staff is so personal and hands on with you that it makes you feel like your having a fine dining experience. Everything is beautiful down to the bowls they serve in. Our waiter was courteous, genuinely excited to show us the menu, went above and beyond. And the FOOD. Omg. The best I have ever had I cant believe this is in Yuba. Could easily be an expensive restaurant in Sacramento downtown. This is place you take people you want to impress. Cannot wait...
