CONTEXT: ⚪My husband and I purchased a California King -Kingdom Icy Copper Mattress from Mattress & Furniture Express on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 4:46 PM (receipt and picture of mattress attached).

🔴 OVERALL INFORMATION: The mattress deal (price) was very reasonable ($975) and we were able to try the exact mattress out in the shop. The mattress was very comfortable and in good shape. The sales person worked within our budget to give us a deal we were comfortable with. HOWEVER, the lack of communication, poor customer service, and intentional scamming that occured after our purchase has led us to give a poor review and caution anyone thinking of doing business with this shop in the future.❗🚩🚩🚩🚩

DETAILS: 🚩Prior to paying for the mattress, the sales person helping us out told us we could take the mattress that day. When they went to the back to grab the mattress, they informed us they actually did not have it in stock and they would deliver it for free Friday, March 15. They should have checked prior to us paying & telling us we could take it that day. In retrospect , this was the first 🚩, but at the time we didn't see it as a huge deal, agreed, and left.🙃

🚩Come Friday, March 15, no mattress was delivered. We called in and they told us it was running late and would be delivered the following Friday, March 22. We were a little annoyed, but were understanding and didn't make this a big deal. 🙃

🚩Come Friday, March 22, still no mattress was delivered. We called in again and they told us that the mattress was delivered to the shop, but would be delivered to our home Saturday, March 23 from 11am-2pm. We asked if we could pick it up instead and they did not have this option available because it was "loaded on the truck already." 🙃🙄

🚩Come Saturday, March 23 at 2pm- still no mattress delivered. We called in again, this time asking for the name of who we spoke to. Manny told us the shop does not do any deliveries on Fridays or Saturdays, only Sunday through Thursday. He cut us off while we spoke, underplayed the mistakes made, and did not try to make the situation better. He was laughing in the background and asking us to repeat what we were saying multiple times.😡

🚩After our conversation with Manny, we physically went back into the store Saturday afternoon and spoke to someone named Yao. He listened to us and called the manager to figure out what happened. He eventually informed us that our mattress was in Chico and they'd have it to us Sunday, March 24 between 11am-2pm.🙄🙄🙄

🚩Come Sunday, a mattress was delivered at 2pm. However, it was the wrong mattress. 🤯🤬We told the delivery person this was incorrect, even showing him pictures of the one we ordered. He ignored us, threw the mattress on the floor, told us to call the shop, and left. We called the shop again and spoke to Yao. Yao told us that Chico did not have the mattress, so they "upgraded us for free." We told him we wanted what we paid for. They said, try out the mattress and if you don't like it, we can switch it out when we get your mattress.

I wish I could give zero star but google will not let me give below one. I believe most of the reviews are fake as they look similar. My woes started when we visited the store on April 11, 2021 to buy bunkbed for my kids. My kids loved the bed and we told we'll come back later. Next day when my wife called and asked about the same bed, we were told that the price has gone up by 20% due to low inventory. On April 16, 2021 when we went to the store to buy the bed we were quoted another price and when asked about the price quoted on April 11; we were told that due to low inventory the price has gone up. I didn't want to buy, but my kids and wife really love the bed and so end up buying at a higher price. We were told that we'll get the bed on the following Monday i.e. April 19. We never received anything on Monday and when called them on Tuesday i.e. April 20, we were told their truck had a flat tire and delivery will be on Thursday i.e. April 22, 2021. Finally they arrived on April 22, 2021 and only brought just a few parts as they told they haven't received rest of the shipment from the merchandiser. My kids who were excited until then got dis-appointed. They promised me to deliver the rest in a few days. Its been almost 3 weeks since I paid and as of today they did not deliver the rest of the furniture. Me and my wife made multiple calls to the store, we were told multiple times that they'll bring the following day but we never received anything. To make things worse the store owner stopped answering my calls. So, if you want to deal with a rude owner who changes the price everyday, charge you money and refuse to deliver the good, love drama and hassle in life then go to this store. I filed a complaint with the CA Dept. of consumers affairs and also disputed the charge with my credit card company. Hello, Don’t pay them before delivery Ever.If u guyz r thinking to go on that place , think 4-5 times. They have one furniture store in Roseville and other is in yuba city, both r same worst.i am sure other furniture places are same too.Worst place ever, they will never deliver your furniture on time even you guyz pay full . The owner never come on phone when you call them to ask about furniture delivery. He said text me only. They text back after so many days or said we will deliver in 3-4. There 3-4 days never comes.If they deliver they deliver wrong stuff or floor model Scratch on headboard crack sleigh send us old floor model stuff and even after 2 months when we call them they said they have emergency so delivery delayed.
