Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Yucaipa

No matter what I experienced this past Sunday, I believe that long John Silver is a good restaurant, with very nice and courtesy staff. But I wanted relay a message to them regarding a situation I had Sunday regarding a platter I purchased around 4 pm. But either there's no phone or the phone's always off the hook. Anyhow, I purchased the combination platter. As I drove away, the aroma fron the fish and swimp was that of oil that had set to long. But because food was hot, I started to eat some of it anyway, trying to ignore the smell. Im not one who return things, but no mistake about it, the oil smell was bad, and as much as I didn't want to believe, finally I concluded that the oil must have been reused. I was so surprised while at the same time disappointed, I winded up throwing out the meal. Never have I ever had any problem with Long John Silver. I'm sure this was an isolated situation and I wanted to call them and let them know. The phone listed doesn't ring. Maybe, it's a technical issue, or they don't wanna be bothered. Recognizing that this is an isolated situation, I still give Long John Silver, 5 stars. I hope they get this message and if the manager there is trying to make the oil go further and last longer, that strategy won't work. Old oil is the worse smell and taste ever. I used to be a real big fan of KFC. But the last few months when I purchased their chicken The Taste has been different now maybe that's just my taste buds, but it seems to be the same every time I purchase it. I do not know if they've changed the recipe or if it's just that particular store but there's something not quite the same. Even the coleslaw is a little bit different tasting. So if KFC has done something different, they need to go back to the old recipe that's what's made them so popular. There's alot of chicken restaurant out there and I may have to switch. My KFC also has Long John Silver in it. There fish is just to greasy. I haven't purchased there fish in a long long time because of the grease sing us so they too need to rethink how they deep-fry their fish I loved Long John Silver's but I can't handle all that grease anymore not even when I was younger I didn't like it but it would seem to have gotten worse over the years. Honestly the only reason it's four stars is because I went there for the world famous batter-dipped chicken. I'm not a big fish guy I prefer a chicken that's just the way I am. But what bothered me is in order to get Long John Silver's fried chicken I had to go inside of a competing fried chicken place to do it. It makes no sense that a place that sells Fried Chicken sells it inside of another place that also sells Fried Chicken and even sells actual Fried Chicken Fingers which is what I went in for but I want the batter dipped ones from Long John Silver's not the KFC ones. Also the reason it's last one star is because I had a coupon but couldn't use it because it's digital and only works at Long John Silver's that are Long John Silver's not once inside of a KFC. So I couldn't really order my food beforehand online I had to use doordash to do that and I couldn't use any of the coupons and I couldn't collect any points for my rewards account at Long John Silver's because they're not considered a full Long John Silver's.
