My expectations for a dining experience were not met, at any point in the time we were in this establishment. Upon arriving, we found the lobby to be empty, with no hostess to seat us. We waited several minutes for the two young ladies to arrive at their station and find us a table - strike 1. Once seated, we promptly were met by our waitress and ordered food with some very minor requests (e.g. the chicken tenders were requested with specific sauce). The food was delivered to our table somewhat quickly, but as soon as it was dropped off the food runner disappeared and our waitress never stopped by to check on our table in enough time to correct any issues. We were in need of more drinks, and the food came out without the requested modifications, no big deal if they can correct it promptly. We requested some additional sauces, and the waitress arrived at the last possible second when our food was already eaten, since otherwise we would have had cold food on our plate. The waitress was tending to other tables, taking their orders and flatly ignoring ours - strike 2. At the last possible second, our waitress arrives at our table with the requested sauce, our food clearly gone, and nothing is said. We ask for our bill and she disappears again for an extended period of time. Finally the bill arrives, and the assistant manager decides to stop by our table as we let him know about our less than pleasant experience. We asked for nothing but wanted him to know that his staff had very poor performance. I know this is an applebees but going out to eat is expensive, they need to step up their game. The manager did not own up to the mistakes, or make any effort to remedy the situation. Instead, he lied about having passed the table 5 times, when in fact we never saw him once the entire time we were there until it was too late to correct any issues. I highly recommend this location look into staff issues and try to correct...
Read moreI hate this say this because I love applebees but this place has gone down hill. It use to be amazing and I've waited 4 months for them to get better but it doesn't look like they're going too. The service is slow and the food as been terrible. Several bad experiences. April was the worst. In April, on my birthday, we waited at our table for an hour and a half before giving up and leaving. During this time we barely saw our waitress. The pace was not busy by the way. My kids pizza came out first, the bottom was burnt so bad she couldn't eat it. She tried because she was hungry and she's not a picky eater but she said it tasted 'burnt' and was hard to chew. She's 9+ so an older kid. We waved down our waitress, explained and apologized and asked if we could just exchange it for some chicken tenders and fries. She seemed annoyed but said okay. My husband's food came out next, it was luke warm but we couldn't find our waitress after that so he just gave up and ate it. After the hour and a half mark of sitting at our table, we gave up. I never got my food and my kid never got her replacement chicken tenders and fries. We had the hostess find our waitress and we got her to take off my meal from the check and we left. I haven't eaten there since until last night, i ordered take out, three cheese chicken penne pasta, thinking no way can they mess that up.....i was wrong. Instead of putting diced tomatoes on the pasta, they smothered it with pico de gallo(?). If they were our tomatoes that was fine, I put my phone number so they could have called and told me. I would have been fine without tomatoes. More than likely though, the cook was just cutting corners and didn't want to take the time to dice tomatoes and the pico de gallo comes already made so it was easier to just throw that on there and boy, did he throw it on there. There was so much! Needless to say, I give up and will not be...
Read moreThis was kind of a very disappointing find. To start off, we were originally going there to get soup considering it was 8pm at night and all the restaurants on the streets were either fast food places or pharmacies, it became hard to find a dine-in area with some real solid food. So we decided on applebees -- grabbing to go.
We ordered outside and they had us wait in the car and stated that they would bring the food over when it's ready. It was done in a timely manner. On the way back I realized none of the Applebee food containers was able to be sealed properly. This caused a lot of leakages in the bag -- which I panicked considering I ordered soup holding the food in the passenger seat.
Then -- as we arrive back I quickly laid the food down and tried to take a look -- everything we ordered was there BESIDES the soup! the only reason we went to this applebee in the first place was FOR the SOUP!
I was extremely upset by this, and the fact that the mac and cheese was super watery, seemed like it was just mac and cheese drizzled with honey BBQ sauce smothered on top? the center was dead sweet and the sides were bland, and the whole mac and cheese was extremely watery? Which is kind of disgusting.
(Side note: The flavored lemonade is probably the greatest one can ever get -- high recommend pomongrante if you must go there to dine)
But as we began to try the other food, it was also weird tasting and all way too salty. Needless to say -- we ended up tossing our $82 worth of food... it was kind of un-eadible.
We had to run out again to a tacobell later that night because we were hungry as heck, would show photo...but I don't think those were...
