We were a table of 10. We ordered. Only half of the food arrived, even if we all ordered meat on the grill. So 7 people were eating, and three were watching us eat: not nice.
After patiently waiting for over 25 minutes for their food, we asked the waiter who - instead of apologising- just said that there were a lot of people in the restaurant, which doesn’t make sense because in the moment you take our order and we all ask for grilled meat, you would just cook it all together, no?
Not only this, but one dish arrived and it was not exactly what the lady had ordered , but something similar. When I politely asked for explanation, he said that he had told her that her choice was sold out and that he would bring another one, and he said that 100% she knew about this, which is impossible as the lady only speaks Italian and he only speaks a very basic English, so there was no way they really had this convo.
He was answering in a very rude way, with a arrogant tone, basically trying to find any justification like it was not his business nor responsibility, instead of simply saying “sorry” for the miscommunication or delay.
So basically after OVER 30 mins these three last dishes arrived.
What annoyed me the most is that he was all arrogant and impolite until he realised that I would not give up not get intimidated, but ‘fight back’ instead. At that point he suddenly and completely changed behaviour, he apologised profusely (but still giving responsibility to his younger colleague) and he told me he would not charge me the service fee. So imagine the irony when the bill arrived and the service fee were all there! Of course I pointed it out, he acted surprised and then proceeded to discount it a bit.
Then, going out, he basically walked at my back saying that this won’t happen again next time (there will be no next time), asking my name and telling me I’m beautiful (I’m a 26 yo girl).
THE AUDACITY to flirt with me after being so arrogant and unpolite (maybe because I’m a woman? Or he is just rude? Who knows) only until he saw I would answer back, is crazy.
JUST DONT...
Read moreI had to visit this restaurant twice, because the first time I arrived at 12 I was told there were no seats available so I was told to come back 2 hours later. Initially I refused to believe so I waited at the entrance trying to see if any tables would be empty soon but the staff came out and asked me to "GO GO GO" which I thought their attitude wasn't very good. So I came back at 145pm and was then given a table earlier because the place seemed much empty after many people finished their lunch. They offered me a table on the upper floor though the ground floor was quite empty. It was not very good because when you want to order food the waiters were all downstairs and they don't look up even when you wave and call them, so it took a while before I got my food ordered. Service of the staff can definitely be improved. There were later 2 staff stationed at the upper floor and some staff brought dishes up from the ground floor to the diners. I waved my hands to call for them they saw it but still they walked away or turned their heads around. Food didn't take long to arrive. I think the food I ordered all hit the spots which tasted good. I have tried dolma before in other restaurants but this one was the best I tried in Uzbekistan. So was the Kazan kebab, it looked and tasted so good, even the diners in the next table asked me about it and also ordered it. Good food and reasonable price. Other than the service of the staff you need to take note of, I think this place is worth trying out. I give it more of a...
