I am only writing this review because I am extremely disappointed in our experience at brewhaha tonight. We have been looking forward to trying this place out because we love the Brazilian steakhouse style restaurants and we found this place. Hopefully ownership and management sees this and makes it better for the next guest. First we were sat at our table and given 3 menus for a party of 6, not the biggest deal but inconvenient. Then we waited for almost 20 minutes to have our order taken, while 1/2 the staff was glued to their cell phones rather than helping guests. Then we ordered our food, my wife and I ordered the Brazilian steakhouse meal for $599,000 each which is quite expensive for Vietnam. Again we were looking forward to this. The rest of our party ordered an assortment of other meals. After about 15 minutes they come out and tell us that we have to order something else as the one person that apparently can cut the meats for this meal had to rush to the hospital and no one else can serve it. This sucks but I guess things happen. So I ordered the Australian rib eye, sounds amazing right? Um no, I imagine a gas station would have a better steak, it was flat, fatty, cold and flavorless. I had to ask for salt and pepper to attempt to season it and choke it down, which didn’t help so I opted to eat my appitizer which came out 10 minutes after my steak instead. The food was awful, the service was worse and for a $100usd meal in Vietnam I would expect way more than what we received considering I’ve had $3 meals that blew this out of the water.
I believe you guys have a good concept here but you need some help executing it if you want to try to get the prices your charging....
Read moreOn a warm evening, this place was buzzing with the usual mix of locals & tourists. A group of friends, fresh off their latest adventure in Vietnam, walked in with the intent to try something different. They were drawn here by the promise of craft beer & a good time. Little did they know, they were about to embark on a beer-tasting journey like no other.
The bartender, a charismatic local who knew his brews inside and out, suggested they try the "Elemental Challenge"—a flight of beers inspired by the five elements. The catch? Each beer came with a small, quirky task that corresponded to its element. For Earth, they had to guess the secret ingredient in the brew, which turned out to be a locally-sourced herb. For Water, they had to identify the source of the pure, crystal-clear water used in the brew (a mountain spring near Da Nang). Fire came with a spicy kick, and they had to down the beer without flinching. Air was light and crisp, and the challenge was to hold their breath for as long as they could before taking a sip. Finally, Space—an experimental brew with a hint of something...unusual. The challenge? Describe the taste using just three words.
The group rose to the challenge, laughing their way through each round, and by the end, they’d not only enjoyed some of the best craft beers Vietnam had to offer but also created memories they’d be talking about for years. The night ended with a round of applause from the other patrons and a round of on-the-house beers from the bartender, who couldn’t resist the fun.
This place isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it’s a place to experience something unique, where every beer tells a story and every visit could turn into an unforgettable...
Read moreI’ve been to Brewhaha a couple times and generally it’s an enjoyable environment.
The beers (with unique herbs from the local terroir) are unique and, like everything in Vietnam, worth trying once.
Some of the mainstream beers are good as well and might bode coming back for.
The menu on the other hand, bizarre, if not a disaster.
Nobody wants to look at a menu for ten minutes to try to figure out the optimal combination of sausages.
Similarly, nobody wants to buy a $10 hunk of pâté. Especially when the customer has no clarity whether they’ll just get some meat on a plate, or if it’s accompanied by anything.
Vegetarian options? It’s pretty clear that the owner probably hates vegetarians by the fact that the options are just side dishes. Makes you scratch your head.
In terms of service, good move to have some foreign floor managers. They seem to keep it together. When they’re not on the floor, the only way to get a refill on beverages or get to order more food is if you physically get up and find a staff member and ask them.
Finally a comment on the bathroom design. Three stalls in the men’s side. Two don’t have doors. There’s a bunch of emotion that comes up from this absolutely confusing configuration:
Let’s not even talk about where you have to go to wash your hands later. Just bizarre.
It also raises questions about quality, process and what’s on my table and in my glass.
Would I come back? Maybe...
