The food quality is quite good, but the service quality is severely lacking. The average waiting time for food is 20-25 minutes, and drinks aren't served any faster. The staff seems somewhat sluggish in setting up for customer service.
A warning to tourists is that if you pay by card here, you'll be charged a "credit card fee" of 3% of the bill. It was shocking to be charged this fee because according to Vietnamese law, customers shouldn't have to pay any fees when using credit card services via POS machines. The entity using the POS device is responsible for paying 1-2.5% per transaction. When I confronted the female manager about this issue, I received the response, "This fee isn't taken by the restaurant, it's taken by the bank?! If I don't agree with this fee, I can choose to pay by bank transfer or cash." She even explained irrelevantly that the restaurant's food prices already don't include VAT for customers, so if the restaurant bears this cost, it will harm its profits. Shouldn't businesses pay taxes?
It's truly a pity for a restaurant with such potential and popularity among customers to be affected by the business direction of the restaurant owner. —— Updated:
Dear Danasol Team,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to customer reviews. However, there are a few points that need clarification:
Regarding service time: Serving fresh, high-quality food is commendable. Customer feedback on delays and service attitude is an important indicator for the restaurant to improve.
Regarding credit card fees: According to Khoản 4, Điều 4 của Thông tư 19/2016/TT-NHNN, merchants (including restaurants and eateries) are not allowed to charge customers additional fees when they pay by card. The 3% surcharge is against regulations, regardless of whether customers are informed beforehand. Other restaurants may also impose this fee, but that does not make it legally correct.
Regarding VAT: If Danasol is registered as a small business entity, it may still be subject to VAT if its revenue exceeds 100 million VND per year (Thông tư 40/2021/TT-BTC). If customers request a VAT invoice and the restaurant cannot provide one, this raises concerns about transparency in tax declarations.
Regarding the restaurant’s response approach: A professional restaurant manager should have a receptive and respectful attitude toward customers, rather than responding in a defensive and confrontational manner.
I hope that the restaurant will seriously reconsider these issues to provide a better experience for...
Read moreAs a chef I would NOT recommend this place. For tourist so it’s not only overpriced but more important than the price is the quality and taste of the food. Very disappointed as this was recommended to me from people I met. Yet, I should have known that most people don’t have high expectations when it comes to food/quality of it. Pita bread doesn’t look like it (watch video!) egg with smoked salmon wasn’t fresh (the salmon!)
Don’t waste your money. Really not worth your time. It’s hard to find a good place to eat, it’s unfortunately trial and error and waste of money at times.
Coffee horrible. Salted coffee was super salty. Coconut coffe bland just like the food. They also charge 3% if you pay with card. Didn’t happen in other restaurants.
Overall: 2 stars and won’t come back

Not sure how to reply to the business’s reply down below:
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my review. That shows commitment and care.
Yet, I have to say that there is an underlying defensiveness I feel from your reply.
Also, to assume that I am comparing your place to a “street food vendor” is kind of an insult (not sure if that’s your intention) because I do take in consideration, that full table service etc will add to the price, so yeah there are few places similar to yours (don’t want to name them here) and I did compare theirs with your business.
You can’t deny the fact that MOST people just don’t know what taste good or not. Especially touristy places. Most of your customers are white etc, they have a different palette when it comes to flavor.
The chicken inside the bread was flavorful, not bad, but the floppy bread ruined it. The salmon, my partner said that’s not good, and to be fair I didnt try it, but if he said that, I am Sure I would not like that either.
Coconut coffee was bland and salt coffee was just too salty. I mentioned it to the staff and she almost just ignored it. That’s not the service I thought I would get.
Anyway, it’s more an expats coffee place - nomads melting point. Not a place to enjoy good food or drinks in my opinion. The outside terrace is indeed nice.
Thank you...
Read moreWhen I first walked into the café with the slogan "Your new favorite Spot" I thought, "Let’s see if it lives up to the name." And honestly? It truly has become my absolute favorite spot! 😍
The location is simply stunning – beautifully designed in a Bali-inspired style, with so much attention to detail that you feel at home the moment you step in. It’s the perfect place to unwind or, in my case, get some focused work done.
One of the standout features for me is the excellent Wi-Fi. As someone who often works from cafés, this is a huge plus. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm and inspiring, making it easy to be productive. And the staff? They’re incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive – almost like visiting friends.
The food and coffee are another highlight. Everything tastes amazing and is presented so beautifully that it’s hard to resist snapping a photo. The coffee, in particular, is divine – I don’t think I’ve ever had a matcha latte this good.☕
For me, "Your new favorite Spot" isn’t just a café – it’s a space that’s truly captured my heart. If you’re looking for a spot to relax, enjoy, or get work done, you absolutely have to...
