Disappointing Experience /Needs Serious Improvement
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this visit really missed the mark. We were drawn in by the nice photos and expected a good time, but the reality was quite different. When we arrived, the place was extremely noisy, and the seating was uncomfortable. Still, we decided to stay, hoping the food would make up for it. unfortunately, it didn’t. The dishes were very disappointing, and my partner couldn’t even finish his meal. To make matters worse, a drunk man came over during our meal, tapped my partner on the shoulder, and started behaving inappropriately. It made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When it came time to pay, the staff seemed unsure how to operate the card machine, so we had to wait quite a while just to settle the bill. It felt like no one really knew what they were doing. Read moreMost of the pictures of the restaurant appear to be of another facility, so I got a bit confused. The menu does appear the same though. Regardless a great variety on the menu, all photos of the dishes available with short description. We ordered sicuan tofu, vegie wantons, Buddha pho and fried rice. Wow!! Everything was super delicious and dished up as per their menu photos. The couple running the restaurant do the cooking together and both have some serious talent in the kitchen. We want to return and work our way through the menu. Highly recommended. I've posted a picture from outside just so there's no confusion. Read moreI had high hopes, given the amount of incredible vegan food I’ve had in Vietnam. This place missed the mark. The Buddha Bowl I ate was lifeless — no characteristic Vietnamese herbs or seasoning. The spring rolls were satisfactory, as deep fried things often are, but they gave us generic dipping sauce that tasted like it came out of a bottle from the grocery store.
I understand this is a casual restaurant. The easiest way for them to attract more people would be to mimic the formula that works for other restaurants...
