After a long day of exploring Da Nang, I decided to treat myself to a Japanese BBQ buffet dinner at Yen Yakiniku.
This place has been around since 2022 and has quickly become popular among locals and tourists alike for its authentic Japanese-style BBQ experience.
They have three outlets in Da Nang: Bình Minh 5, Trần Quốc Toản, and Nguyễn Văn Thoại .
One thing I appreciated was the traditional Japanese seating arrangement. The tables have a recessed area underneath, allowing you to sit comfortably while grilling your food, similar to what you'd find in Japan.
Yen Yakiniku offers four buffet tiers: 249K, 299K, 349K, and 499K VND. Each tier adds more variety, from basic grilled meats to premium options like wagyu beef and shabu-shabu hotpot.
I opted for the highest tier, expecting top-notch quality.
However, the dining experience left much to be desired. The service was notably slow; it took over 20 minutes for my shabu-shabu to arrive, and the restaurant wasn't even full at the time.
Given that they allocate a 120-minute dining window, such delays are quite significant.
Moreover, the quality of the meat didn't meet my expectations, especially considering I chose the premium buffet option.
While the ambiance and seating were commendable, the slow service and average food quality were disappointing.
I hope they address these issues to enhance the overall...
Read moreWe came to try buffet and order some seafood, sushi and a lot of different things. They don’t have normal physical menu so you have to do it on the phone which I hate so much sometimes because these small fonts and all this zoom in, zoom out to choose something. I have bad eyesight and I understand that it’s my problem. The food was overall fine but some pieces from sushi or salmon tasted kind of nothing and didn’t have that fishy taste, which was slightly disappointing while others were good, so it was mix of both. The service was great overall and everyone was helpful. The biggest thing that triggered me is when they force you take your shoes off, and the place if very dirty. I understand that I can maybe ask to clean but can you imagine how awkward it is to ask the busy staff when the place is full of people, to ask to mop the entire room. It’s disgusting to be honest. First I even wanted to leave but I didn’t want to upset my partner and thought maybe it will be okay but the floor was even worse at the table, it was sticky as hell, there were tons of food cramps and I had to put paper towel under my feet and hope that no one had any foot disease who sat here. Disgusting.
Also, if you scroll through reviews be aware that there are a lot of fake and suspicious accounts that leave useless 5 start reviews which a big red flag if the restaurant...
