I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service and experience I encountered during my recent stay at Risemount Premier Resort—a stay that was surprisingly subpar, especially considering the hotel’s high ratings.
The issues began with a miscommunication between Agoda and the hotel, which resulted in the manager, Lucy, suggesting that we, the guests, should contact Agoda ourselves. This was the first indication that accountability might not be a strong suit here, setting the tone for a series of frustrating experiences.
After almost an hour’s wait due to the aforementioned miscommunication, we finally arrived at our room, only to find that the door was jammed. The proposed solution? Attempting to force our room card into the lock, which damaged the card and left us waiting for another 20 minutes before someone finally came to assist. Quite the welcoming experience.
Once inside, we discovered the room had only been prepared with two beds—though a booking for three was made. Lucy assured us that a third bed would be brought up within 10 minutes. However, we were left waiting for over an hour. By 4 PM, with no bed in sight and no lunch yet, we decided to go out for a late meal. When we returned past 10 PM, the bed had only just been set up. It really makes one wonder how much longer we would have waited had we stayed in the room.
On the fourth night, we faced the same issue with the door jamming. After reporting it to reception, we were left waiting indefinitely. It wasn’t until we approached the counter again that we were informed it would take 30 to 40 minutes to resolve. This lack of communication and initiative was less than ideal after a long day out, with no form of apology for the repeated inconvenience. After the door was finally opened, we discovered yet another issue: housekeeping had conveniently failed to replace our bathrobes. When we called reception, the staff seemed strangely confused by our request and had to come up to our room. We ended up having to show him a picture of a bathrobe just to convey what we needed. This level of service was the perfect way to ruin what should have been a relaxing end to our day.
Housekeeping standards at the hotel were, to put it mildly, disappointingly low. The room floor was dusty, shampoo and soap bottles were often left empty for days, and used items like towels and floor mats were often not replaced. Hair was left in the drain, and the overall cleanliness of the room was, frankly, unacceptable. A request for basic missing items took over 30 minutes, only to be fulfilled incorrectly or incompletely.
While I understand that this is not a luxury 5-star hotel, the service we received did not meet even the most basic expectations. The worst thing is, there was no attempt at service recovery at all, and the accumulated issues (and how it was handled by the staff there) left a particularly sour taste during what was supposed to be a memorable first trip to Danang.
The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast buffet, where the cooking staff—especially the young chef—provided excellent service with genuine attentiveness and sincerity. Additionally, one of the bellboys who attended to us on our last day when we were off to the airport was very helpful. It’s just a shame the rest of the hotel couldn’t follow their lead.
Regrettably, if I ever return to Danang, I will not be staying at Risemount...
Read moreRisemount Premier, left my heart at this place and defo a place I called home when in Da Nang. stayed there for too many nights and will stay many more nights when I go back to DN. From the first day I checked in, the lobby and resort is just GRAND and BEAUTIFUL. huge lobby with carefully chosen design and immediately I can feel the warm service feeling and incredible stay. there are too many things I LOVE about this place and I will break it down carefully. ROOM; stayed in 4 different rooms from their elite deluxe, junior king, and their Santorini suite. and my favorite defo the one by the pool area, the room was huge and smelled so good, bed, OH MY GOD! one of the comfiest beds Ive ever slept in. I had such good naps and night sleep. The temperature was very comfortable and the fan was a plus during hot days. amenities were sufficient from toiletries to fridge, tea, and coffee, and the supplies were always replenished daily.POOL; AMAZING! Another best part about this resort is the pool is huge and comfortable water temp. my morning laps and afternoon dips are just LOVELY! MEALS; The morning breakfast was a spread of goodness options and selections from Western (bread, butter, bacon, eggs, and pastry) to Asian and Vietnamese locals. I've tried everything and it was oh-so delicious. the Saigon coffee was defo a slap! * the elixir bar by the pool also serves nice cocktails, ice-cold beers, and lunch/dinner service (yes! i spent too much time in the resort and doesn't really go out haha) SERVICE: Risemount premier team, let me do a shout-out and the deepest gratitude from my heart for all the great things you've done for me during my stay. I was terribly ill during my first week but I was well taken care of, and you guys too celebrated my birthday on this trip, it was so special and heartwarming. Miss Lieu (i miss you and thank you for you) the F&B manager and his team, the room division team (FO, concierge, HK, SEC) basically everyone was just incredible. you are all the faces of the great service hospitality industry. service was warm, kind, polite, and just *chef's kiss. thank you, thank you, thank you. If I may give a little feedback it would be that the drinking water supply daily in the room was not enough for the all-year warm weather in Vietnam. I have always needed to ask more and it is okay to charge for the extra price but there were 2 times I requested more water; the answer from the receptionist repeatedly was that the water bottle gaven only 2 bottles a day (it was tiny bottle) and if we would like more that it is not free and sadly my request by phone was not met, waited for half an hour and had to walk to the lobby to personally asked about more water and yes you can charge me for it, Another hiccup would be that the sound insulation is quite poor, you really need to find and choose quieter room if you are noise sensitive. BUT, ALL IN ALL, I think I've said more than enough about my pleasant stay with Risemount Premier in general, and I can not wait to go back home :))sending you all the love...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Risemount Premier Resort in Danang left me utterly disappointed and disgusted. I visited Danang in May, expecting a pleasant and hassle-free vacation, but instead, I was met with incompetence, unresponsiveness, and a complete lack of concern from both the hotel staff and the associated travel agency.
To start with, upon checking out and waiting to clear the bill, the hotel manager casually informed me that they needed to inspect the room before I could leave. After a quick inspection by their supposedly capable staff, I was assured that everything was in order, and I left for the airport without suspecting the nightmare that awaited me.
It wasn't until I reached the airport that I realized I had left my Ultrahuman ring, a device crucial for monitoring my sleep cycle, in the hotel room. Panicking, I immediately called the hotel manager, who nonchalantly assured me that she would have the ring couriered to our next destination, Ho Chi Minh City. However, her promise turned out to be nothing but empty words, as the ring failed to arrive within the next two days, causing great distress and inconvenience.
Frustrated and desperate, I embarked on a fruitless mission of writing countless emails to both the hotel and the utterly unresponsive Apple Holidays in Vietnam, the travel agency responsible for arranging my stay. The lack of assistance and indifference displayed by both parties was truly appalling and demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
After numerous attempts at persuasion, the hotel manager reluctantly agreed to send the ring back to India, provided we paid the courier charges. Desperate to recover my valuable possession, I immediately made the payment, depositing the money into the hotel's account. However, despite a week passing since the transaction, the manager continues to deny receiving the payment and has shown no intention of returning the ring. This level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty is simply unforgivable.
My experience at Risemount Premier Resort has undoubtedly been the worst I have ever had in a hotel. The staff's lack of accountability, coupled with the unresponsiveness of the associated travel agency, has left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. It seems that as a tourist from a different country, the hotel is more than happy to exploit and manipulate you, conveniently blaming any issues on a supposed language barrier.
I urge all potential travelers to steer clear of this abysmal establishment. Not only will you find yourself at the mercy of their incompetence, but should any unfortunate incident occur during your stay, be prepared for complete abandonment by both the hotel and the travel agency. Risemount Premier Resort deserves a rating well below zero stars for their abysmal service and lack...
