Karma Lounge Da Nang — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

As a Danang citizen, I used to come to Karma from time to time and overall like the vibe and music, the interior is lovely as well. However, they really have to improve customer service - from staff communication to providing correct information to their repeated customers. I was disappointed as I booked for New Year's Night with friends in advance and was informed about their menu with choice of cocktails, mocktails, some snacks. When we arrived there it turned out they had only alcohol combo drinks (bottles) and nothing else, like "all of sudden!" I understand the night club should make a profit for New Year, but this all looks like cheating on their own client - why they misinformed me in the first place? Like, I had no choice except their combo and no even mocktails or snack as on regular menu, why on earth you won't inform this in advance, giving that I requested menu online? Why sent wrong menu and don't even care, suddenly change the rules? We did order some kind of Champaign bottle there, didn't want to argue on New Year's night, but come on, guys you obviously have problems with customer service and attitude! You will lose your clients and there are plenty of clubs in the city that respect their customers and show appreciation and respect. Also, our order took forever, in fact there is no thing such a "service". Personally, I don't feel like I'll be back, there are plenty places where the staff greets clients with a smile (unlike the Karma staff) and better attitude! Shame on you, Karma. Bad service -...

The cheapest thing here is wine for 995,000 vnd. Keep that in mind if you are coming for cheap night life. Which for me is about $38 usd. I personally think that is expensive especially because the max I spend in the US for going out is $15 usd. But I know most people from the U.S. spend $30+ a night of going out but I am considered low income in the U.S. so that may be why for me that is too expensive...

Well this place was the best club we went to as they had a DJ but also an MC to do crowd work. The MC aspect I think really helped the energy of this club. While the dancing here wasn't much better than the other clubs, it really livened up when me and my friends hit the dance floor. The MC called my friend up behind the DJ's turn table. We got people to come dance with us and even got free shots and some drink free poured into our mouths. There is no entrance fee here and the music here is EDM.0

This club is well maintained and very lively.

This place didn't have as much space to dance but that's okay, we made do and had fun. You have a server that is assigned to you and they serve you the whole night pouring your glasses for you. PROPER SCAM! Watch out.

We ordered a bottle of Jack Daniel’s for my friend’s birthday and it was finished in about 10 mins. There’s NO WAY the six of us drank it in that time. Then it turned out that the waitress was taking the bottle away from the table and bringing it back, getting emptier every time.

I told her I knew what she was doing and she pretended not to understand. I got the manager over and he also claimed not to speak English and just made it very difficult - though it was clear that they both knew they’d been rumbled and were just buying time and hoping I'd give up.

The manager then seemed to accept that he'd been stealing from us and offered us some free drinks, but after I'd left he charged my friends for the drinks he'd given us. I really wish I'd just refused to pay for any of it.

This is just the kind of nasty little scam that gives Vietnam a bad name. Most businesses here are decent and absolutely trustworthy, but this place is not one of them. I’ve been living here for two years and have never experienced such a clear example of thievery. I'm so angry about it.

I’ve been here before and had a good time, but I’ll never go back again.
