day1
It was my first time trying mi quang noodle and I got to regret that it was my first time after finishing the dish. Compared to pho, overall scent of a stock was somewhat mild. It only has delegate meat flavor, which never gets old during the dish. After I realize that I cleared half of it, I squeezed whole lime juice into the remaining stock, and that ensemble was the best part of the meal. I must confess that I cleared every single drop of the stock, which I never do with pho. Although it may not be accurate, it reminded me comparison between two Korean cold noodles; 함흥냉면(pho) and 평양냉면(mi quang). I also had bun cha, and the taste was just what I expected. It was also great, though.
day2
Thanks to the good experience I had yesterday, I felt like this is really good place to try any new Vietnamese food. So I tried thit kho tau with pineapple fried rice, and they again blowed my mind. It was sweetly seasoned pork with slight smoke flavor. They provided a bowl of rice with the dish, and as a Korean, I knew exactly how I should pull out a full experience from this pair. Make a full spoon of rice, a piece of thit kho tau on top, and yumyumyum... heaven. However, as any sweet food does, my tongue got used to this flavor after a couple of fantastic bites. Then a fried rice next to them comes to rescue and completely neutralized the taste sense. Pleasure goes on and on... and I was thinking that this restaurant knows how to minimize a food waste. Amazing. Nothing...
Read moreYesterday, I came here and ordered a spicy seafood soup. Halfway through eating, I found a piece of metal (looked like it came from a dish scrubber) about 2 cm long in my soup. I instantly felt disgusted and stopped eating. When I told the waitress, she apologized and said (in English) to come back tomorrow and my food would be free — both that day and the next.
Today, I came back, ordered the soup again, and when I finished eating, they made me pay for it. I politely reminded them about what I was told yesterday. The same lady who spoke good English yesterday suddenly wouldn’t speak a word of English and only communicated with me through Google Translate. She said that yesterday they gave me a free soup because of their mistake, but today I ate and enjoyed it, so I must pay.
This whole situation made me feel extremely uncomfortable and like I was being unreasonable just for asking about what I had been promised. They were talking in Vietnamese about me right in front of me, which made it worse.
I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. I probably misunderstood something, but I am quite sure I heard what I heard yesterday. Either way, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively), and I will not be coming back.
Go at your own risk — hopefully you won’t find a piece of metal...

My boyfriend and I totally blame this restaurant for the extra weight we brought home from our Vietnam trip. He was the one searching for a good Vietnamese spot, and wow! We struck gold with this place.
Every single dish we tried was amazing. I’ve avoided rice for ages, but their food was so good that I happily broke my “no rice” streak… and yep, that’s how the food baby happened! We loved it so much that we ended up eating here almost every single day. Their best-sellers are truly the best... you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
The staff are fantastic – super friendly, efficient, and the food comes out fast so you’re never left waiting. Prices are really affordable too, which makes it even harder to resist coming back again and again.
Be warned though: once you start, you might binge like we did. Unless you’ve got a gym plan lined up, your fitness goals are in trouble here. 🤭 But honestly, it’s 100% worth it.
To top it off, the restaurant was walking distance from our hotel… which made it way too easy to keep coming back. No wonder the place is always packed – the food, service, and atmosphere totally live up to the hype.
Highly recommend this spot… just don’t say I didn’t warn you when your jeans feel a little...
