So good. There are no words... But I'll still write a bunch.

This place was a godsend on my first night in Hanoi. I arrived at 9pm to an Airbnb I'd been moved to at short notice, in an area I'd not scoped out, starving.

I urgently needed some comfort food and Hummingbird delivered, in the metaphorical sense, though they may actually deliver food. Anyway...

I'm not the type to rely on western food when abroad, but the food, service and experience here was so good here I ended up patronising the place 3 times in 7 days. But if you are that type of person, you should absolutely come here... And even if you're not, you should come here at least once.

Every member of staff that served me on my visits was top notch and had a good command of English but a special shout out to Giap (pronounced Zap, sorry if I spelled your name wrong). He is a real treasure to Hummingbird. Give the man a raise!

On my last visit Guy, the owner (and a few of his friends), were at the bar. They invited me to join them and they were a pleasure to meet and chat to. They kindly provided some recommendations for my next stop in Saigon. To be clear, had I not met them, I'd have still given this glowing review.

As for the food here, it really was delicious and predominantly American fare. The kitchen staff know what they're doing and do it with consistentcy.

The buffalo wings are probably the best I've had outside of the US. Every meal I had was chicken based and they were all very good meals that satiated the hunger. I wish I'd tried the ribs or the burger as other reviews mentioned they were also excellent.

Drinks were well priced and there was quite a broad selection of spirits. The bar staff know how to mix a good cocktail and there are some good daily specials to take advantage of for the more price conscious.

We stumble across Hummingbird in a hot summer day and it turned out to be such a great choice! 😊 The food was delicious – the chicken wings were flavorful, the steak sandwich is juicy and melt in your mouth, and the lamb kebab was perfectly seasoned. Even the simple touches like the garden salad and fries were spot on.

Drinks were refreshing – especially the Pineapple Cooler, perfect balance for a hot day.

The atmosphere feels cozy yet vibrant, making it a great place for a casual date or just hanging out with friends. What really stood out was the staff – super friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a drink spot with good food and great vibes in the heart of Hanoi!

This place is unique with Hawaian/Tropicana vibe. Good location. Good amenities. Good staffs. Good food. Good drinks. Good vibe. Perfect for couple'date or a group's hangout because they have many food options from party's essentials like slow cooked ribs - which is a must-try! Wings with spicy sauces is something else, flavor burst! And yes, after a while, tonight I wanted to try something a bit more healthy - so I order a Rib eye steak salad - and never let down because I can enjoy juicy tender rare beef with a hint of smoke - must be charcoal grilled and perfectly cooked!!!
