I’m upset I even have to leave one star. If I could, I’d leave zero. We had high hopes for this place and even took a Grab to get there.

I ordered the Tantan Ramen, expecting the rich, balanced flavors I know. Instead, I got a bowl that tasted like nothing but watered-down, cheap peanut butter. The egg was cold. Even with a grumbling stomach, I pushed it away after forcing down a few bites. I had my husband try it to be sure I wasn’t being too harsh—he agreed. For context, my grandma is Japanese, and I’ve had real Tantan before. I know what it should taste like.

My food arrived first, and his came out a few minutes later. In hindsight, we should have left then, but I hoped his meal might be decent. It wasn’t. His “teriyaki chicken” looked nothing like the menu photo—just poorly cooked chicken nuggets drenched in bottled sauce with a sad side salad. When he questioned it, the server insisted it was the same dish and that the only difference was the plate.

The gaslighting from the staff was the final straw. We made multiple attempts to express our dissatisfaction, but they had no interest in making it right. We left our meals nearly untouched and still paid, though we shouldn’t have had to. Now, we’re outside having sunflower seeds with the locals—infinitely better than what we just endured.

Don’t waste your money. The good...

Omg!!! How can I find this restaurant just now? If you crave for real Japanese ramen and dishes, this is the one for you. I stayed in Melbourne where there are a lot of Japanese chefs and travelled to Japan as well. I have tried a lot of other Japanese homey ramen restaurant but their taste are only good for Vietnamese people’s preferences. This one would be the one you should go to if you want a more homey Japanese experience. I tried the Tantan Ramen (less salty) and the grilled chicken skewers (liver, heart and chicken with onion). The Tantan Ramen is with that broth that you’re looking for in a more homey and healing vibe. The chicken and liver skewers are delicious and tender. I am surprised that this place is not so crowded. I only wish they have the ramen option with bamboo shoots as well. Definitely would recommend it to anyone I know cuz this place deserves it. I...

Ok food, but I had bad experience with the service here.

I went to have ramen and cold udon with my girlfriend.

My ramen comes first, and after 15 min, udon has not yet been served.

Then they call over the radio about my girlfriend's cold udon. But they have never told us the status/problem with the udon or explain why it is late.

15m more passed, then we decided to go home. Only at that moment they notifies us that they are preparing the cold udon.

No apology or explain made. I feel disrespect.

For me personally, will never come to this place again due to such poor service.

Ofc, not the restaurant' fault, but my...

I went to this restaurant with my family during our summer vacation. We are living in Japan for quite a long time and our kids had a craving for Japanese food after few weeks here in Hanoi. We skeptically tried few types of ramen and several dishes of tsumami (snacks) given the fact that the price is relatively cheap and the restaurant is new. It was beyond our expectation. It would be unfair to compare this with the ramen we have back there in Japan but you can have a decent Japanese food here. Our kids were very happy after the meal and I was overall happy too leaving the place without having a big hole in my wallet.
