Out of all the places we ate in Hanoi, Vua Chả Cá Lý on Thuong Kiệt was our absolute favorite! The chả cá (grilled fish with turmeric and dill) was super fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—easily one of the best versions we’ve had.

The ingredients were noticeably high-quality, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The service was also excellent—friendly, efficient, and attentive, making the experience even better.

Everything was ok except the service. Although the food came quite fast but the servers were disappointing. They always stood at the dumbwaiter or behind the counter, therefore it was quite challenging to ask for assistance. A waitress left the extra plate of noodles right by the edge of the table, which was careless and risky. About food, its delicious fish and shrimps sauce, as traditional we must eat the fish with shrimp sauce, feller need to try it, dont eat with fish sauce, it will not fit. I like this dishes. The deduct point was the employees no smile to customers and make some mistake when there have many customers. But btw, this restaurant great, feller need to try.
