I'm on my two-week business trip in Hanoi. Unfortunately my hotel does not serve lunch and dinner so I have to look for restaurants outside. I found this restaurant which appears to be nice and clean. I was impressed by the quality of food and the service provided at first. I have been dining at this restaurant for a few days but I'm not satisfied with my dining experience today. Firstly, the staff were not friendly. I waved to a waitress when I was ready to order but she looked a little impatient and gave me a long face. What's even worse, she was very rude and disrespectful and walked away in the middle of taking my order. Secondly, shockingly the food I ordered this time was way below standards. I found hair in my steamed rice. I made a complaint to the manager afterwards but it didn't work out very much as she didn't speak English so she had her employee to translate it for her. It was very frustrating and disappointing that they didn't even show any apology and listen to my feedback at all. They even found an excuse for their employee because the reason they tried to avoid me was they didn't speak a word of English. Does this sound ridiculous? This is the worst restaurant I have been to in my entire life. It was completely a waste of my money on such pricey food and...
Read moreAte here during our visit to Hanoi in October (visiting from London) and absolutely in love with it. It just opened that week and work was still being done on the upper floor. Food and drinks were amazing and the staff so friendly that we returned the same week. The restaurant itself and the decoration are absolutely stunning. Service is something they are probably working on, but they had just opened that week so we didn’t expect anything else, and all staff really tried very hard. Even the manager had a nice chat with us and greeted us with a smile. We’ve recommended this place to friends and also to the hotel where we...

Another good choice is the Banh Cuon Phu ly - special Phu ly City steamed rice pancake - the grilled pork mixed with rice noodles dipped in fish sauce - always...
