The Forest House of Rustic Charm — Restaurant in Hà Nội

PLEASE READ 최악입니다 (한국어리뷰 있어요)

Please please do not be fooled by this 4.3 rating. Basically— AVERAGE food, POOR service, NO air conditioning, which means this place is NOT worth the money AT ALL.

This is my first google review (I am so upset and don’t want anyone else to experience the same) and my standards are pretty low. I was here with my family (5 members). The food was VERY average - something you can get anywhere in Vietnam. And the AIR CONDITIONING— We knew the price was relatively higher than the other local restaurants, but we had decided to pay more for better ambiance and AIR CONDITIONING. When we went in, AC was not on at all, so we had to eat in heat sweating.

After we finished eating, we politely asked if they could call us a cab. They said yes and after 5 minutes they told us the cab arrived. We went outside, and no cab was there. Went back inside, they put the lights down cleaning the place (it was only 8:30pm - they close at 9:30). We told them the cab wasn’t here, and they told us to wait for one more minute and did not care. We waited outside for ten more minutes, and it never arrived, so we had to walk back.

Our family wanted to have one last NICE dinner in Hanoi before leaving, and it was ruined. Not sure if we were just not lucky, but I know there are other good restaurants near here, so I would NEVER take the risk and come here.

구글 4.3 평점에 속지마세요. 저도 여기 오기 전 아래 다른 한국인분들이 남기신 평점도 보고 여기저기 알아본 후 가족들과 맛있는 저녁 먹으려 골라서 왔는데요, 결론은 절대 비싼돈 더 주고 여기서 먹을 이유가 전혀 없습니다. 제발 다른데 가세요 ㅠㅠ

딱히 입맛이 까다롭지 않은데, 맛은 다른 로컬 베트남 다를 것이 없습니다. 사실 위치나 분위기, 에어컨 때문에 돈을 더 주고서라도 여기서 먹자 하고 온것인데, 일단 에어컨은 절대 틀어주지 않았고 - 더워서 땀 줄줄 흘리며 먹었습니다- 서비스도 굉장히 불쾌했습니다. (다섯이서 7만원정도 되는 메인을 시켰는데도 콜라 두잔만 시켰다고 음료 메뉴를 막무가내로 펼쳐보인다던지, 돈을 세고있는데 낚아채 간다던지 등등)

하이라이트는——- 밥먹고 혹시나 택시를 불러줄 수 있는지 정중하게 물어봤는데 바로 불러준다고 했습니다. 몇 분 후에 왔다고 해서 나가봤는데 깜깜한 도로에 아무것도 없어서 다시 내려가서 물어봤고, 이미 그분들은 불 다 끄고 마감정리를 하며 (9:30 마감인데 그때는 8:30) 저에겐 일분이면 온다며 나가라고 손짓했고, 저흰 밖에서 10분 가까이 기다리다 결국 걸어갔습니다.

저희가 운이 나쁜건지 뭔지 모르겠지만 어차피 이 주변에 맛있는데 더 많으니 굳이 모험해가며 저희같은 불상사 당하지 않으셨으면 좋을 것 같아 처음으로 구글리뷰까지...

What I like most about this place is the decor and the atmosphere of being in an Forest! It really is beautiful inside! Good selection of food (but no vegan options and prices are average I would say. They didn’t have wine by the glass the few times I have went which was a disappointment; maybe they can change that! Overall it’s a beautiful place with a unique decor; so 4 stars ⭐️ for that!

What a hidden gem ! Beautiful inside out with a great taste and attention to little details. Great staff as well. Vietnamese food was average, the selection was more oriented for foreigners. I love the seafood mushroom and fried squid here, the batter was amazing ! We ended up with spending about 300k VND per person leaving the table.
