The Windmill Restaurant — Restaurant in Hà Nội

When we first walked in there was a family having dinner in the courtyard so i though we were in the wrong place. The bar tender then rushed over and thrust a menu at us wanting to get back to her dinner. Staff dont speak English so we basically just got our own beers while they had dinner.

No atmosphere at all and the toilets were feral (urine everywhere and mosquitoes).

So sad because it's a nice courtyard and building but hasn't been maintained and the service was...

Been here a few times for beers, recently had a meal of tofu, rice and chicken (and shots of táo mèo rice wine).

The atmosphere is hard to beat in Hanoi. Colonial French style villa with a beer garden, lots of greenery.

Food is high quality and very affordable traditional Vietnamese. Staff don't really speak English, but I'm in Vietnam so I did my best! :)

Summary: Far from brewery, but a decent court yard to have a macro brew (Tiger, bia Saigon, eta)

Pro: good wifi and decent price. I paided 23k for beer and I enjoyed the muted noise.

Con: not a brewery. It's a basic bar with a cooler full of 6-8 beer choices and a dozen liquors...
