Yakiniku Kokoro — Restaurant in Hà Nội

Honestly, found this place by accident as we were so hungry and was in the area. The restaurant is very unassuming, a bit plain from the outside & recognisable with just its signage. Once inside, the place was packed with people, mostly Japanese expats. Which is always a good sign!! They offer variety of meat for their yakiniku, and also have plenty of the classic Japanese dishes. Opted for the Beef Meal Set, tempura, corn cheese and agedashi tofu. Portion of the beef was plenty & can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Tempura was made fresh, shrimp was nice & the batter is crispy. Agedashi tofu is done nicely & the sauce is well seasoned. As for the corn cheese, it complemented the grilled meat perfectly. We also got some additional orders of different types of beef cut. And all were fresh, tender & juicy. Although we can cook by ourselves over the charcoal stove on the table, the team can also help to cook it for us. Excellent...

Had dinner with my wife recommended by a friend. The staff were super friendly and recommended some of their best dishes. The wagyu beef was the best we had in Hanoi, simply melts in your mouth. The Gyutan shio (beef tongue) was also very tender and delicious. The restaurant dipping has a very unique flavour very different from other restaurant. They made their own kimchi which was less spicy but very delicious. The side dishes were also very tasty. The dinner was value for the money we paid. Will definitely recommend...

Came here due to a recommendation from a colleague and I am pleasantly surprised. Their bbq beef slices are very succulent with a perfect mixture of fats and lean meat.
