During our recent trip to Cat Ba Island, we stumbled upon Nyugen Chat Coffee while searching for a banana boat ride. Though we didn’t find the ride, we were delighted by our brunch experience at this charming café.
Ambiance: Nyugen Chat Coffee has a welcoming vibe with cozy decor, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely brunch.
Service: Elvis and his colleague provided exceptional service, going out of their way to accommodate our vegetarian preferences, which is often a challenge in Vietnam. Their attentiveness made our visit even more enjoyable.
Menu: We ordered a coconut coffee, cold coffee with chocolate, and a banana smoothie, all of which were refreshing and delicious. For our meal, we chose a vegetarian pizza and French fries. To our surprise, the quality of the food exceeded our expectations, proving that finding vegetarian options in Vietnam is possible!
Dinner Visit: Impressed by our brunch, we returned for dinner and tried crispy vegetable rolls, vegetarian pasta with tomato sauce, and a vegetarian hot pot. Each dish was flavorful, but the hot pot was a standout—an amazing first-time experience for us.
Value for Money: Both our brunch and dinner offered good value, with generous portions and quality ingredients.
Conclusion: With its great food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly service, we highly recommend Nyugen Chat Coffee, especially for vegetarians and Indian travelers. It's a gem on...
Read moreStumbled upon this while walking down the street. It didn’t look super busy so we weren’t sure, but we ended up dining here and it was really amazing. I think the name ‘cafe’ in the title sort of throws off that it’s a full on restaurant that operates for breakfast lunch and dinner! The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. I would say it’s a mostly western menu but they do have some stir fried dishes and pho. We came back here twice. The first time for lunch we got the pan fried chicken with honey and garlic, the stir fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce, banana-mango smoothie and an iced coconut coffee. It was so delicious we ended up coming back for dinner that same day and ordered the beef luk lak and chicken skewers (and a banana mango smoothie again!). Definitely recommend coming while in Cat Ba! We had tried other restaurants around here but this was definitely...
