Lucky Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Hội An

If you stay near An Bang beach, definitely check out this seafood restaurant. We were recommended this place by Dechiu hotel and it was our best meal yet on this trip: fresh seafood, well-made, complimentary fruit, but the highlight for me was how nice the owner was.

She was very accommodating (taking us from and to our hotel) and recommended lots of local tips for choosing dishes with the friendliest attitude - no pressure or need to bargain. All prices are shown or happily volunteered. I'd definitely go back just for the reassurance that my meal is in good hands.

The place looks a little mom-and-pop-ish. You can bring your own seafood and ask them to prepare for a lower price, but I think they know how to choose fresher seafood. We had a huge meal for 200.000+ vnd each which was affordable for seafood.

They used to be right across Dechiu hotel but since the pandemic they moved 3mins away and hasn't been able to update location on Tripadvisor, so business is kinda slow. But this is definitely a hidden gem, and I'd recommend this over the more famous...

We came back and back again. And then a couple of times. The whole family loved the restaurant and staff. This is the best restaurant we tried in Hoi An. Often we went from old town to dine here.

The bánh xèo is superior! Soo good! And the seafood is super fresh and tasty. A dish that we got recommended, but wasn't on the menu, was chicken wings. Incredibly yummy!

You will have to wait for servings. But that is because everything is freshly made. (If you order 2 plates of bánh xeo the two plates will not be served together, but they will serve the plates when they are done. (Which also is vietnamese custom.)

Ask the staff for recommendations. The restaurant usually serves fresh food, so ask for the seasonal goodies. Don't opt for what's off season, because you just won't get the best meal then.

I've worked and lived in Hoi An, and can guarantee that this is the place you should go for a tasty, authentic and clean meal!

I usually don’t write reviews but this is a real hidden gem for fresh seafood that is very flavourful and affordable . Much better than the beach side restaurants. It’s run by the lady owner and chef whose brothers are fishermen and hence , provide very fresh seafood. They keep their crabs in the sea hence it’s super fresh bursting with roe. Just eat it steamed in lemongrass so you can taste the sweetness of the crab. The scallops in the unique peanut and garlic sauce and her special seafood sauce was so good we ordered two portions just for the two of us. Don’t miss the ban xieo - nice and crispy too. Wish we Cld have ordered more !! The lady owner used to work for 15 years at a beachside restaurant before starting out her own beachside restaurant. Unfortunately it was destroyed by the typhoon during Covid . Hence now they operate out of their home. True home dining experience. Her husband is a great cook too! Don’t miss this !
