This post aims to share our experience at Acoustic Bar Thao Dien, which we never ever considered experiencing. Even before Thao Dien branch, our group was a frequent customers to Acoustic. The band is undoubtedly the biggest reason why customers keep on coming to acoustic, as evidenced by the fact that we usually have a good time and always leave with a smile despite of its high price for their drinks.
Our group always go to Acoustic, sometimes in a week, we go 2-3 times and always order at least a bottle of whisky and there are times we order more than 3 bottles as we also introduce Acoustic to our friends and colleagues.
OnAugust 26, our group had guests who were on holiday from other countries. One of our guests accidentally broke a whisky glass. When we were about to go home (we paid the bill ahead of time, which were 2 bottles of whisky and mixers), a staff came to our table and told us that we need to pay for the glass that our guest broke. We were wondering at first. We told the staff that why they didn’t tell us ahead of time, it’s not that we will not pay as it is not expensive. The fact that they waited for us until we were about to go home and only that time they told us to pay for the said broken glass. As what I know, if one of the policies of any bars and clubs is for customers to pay for any broken items, they should tell the customers immediately and POLITELY that there’s a fine for any broken items, why wait before we were about to go home.
There wasn’t any apology given from the acoustic bar Thao Dien management. The band apologized as well as the staff who gave us the bill of the broken glass which she said that it was her manager, Ms Thao who told her to let us pay for it.
Proper customer service is very important in any business especially in bars or else they will just continue to lose high...
Read moreMy experience here was horrible because of the staff. Everything else was fine, but the staff completely ruined it. They seated me in a corner right next to the speaker with extremely loud music. The waiter rushed us to order, but the menu only listed drink names without any ingredients. When I asked for more details, he gave a careless, vague answer just to get it over with and kept pushing us to order quickly.
The drinks were average, and the price was a bit high for a classic margarita. My chair was tall and didn’t have a footrest, so I asked to change seats, but the staff refused, even though there was an empty seat nearby. Even worse, they brought us a drink, and 10 minutes later, took that same drink away to give to the table next to us because they had made a mistake. Luckily, we hadn’t drunk it yet and were only taking photos, but if we had, it would have been extremely unprofessional and unhygienic.
We were even rushed to pay before we had finished our drinks. After payment, they didn’t give me the bill until I asked, and when they did, it was a crumpled piece of paper that looked like it had just been pulled out of the trash.
Anw, I will not be coming back here unless they hire a new, more...
Read moreSoft drink can - 190k Glass of wine is actually closer to a half glass (see picture) and starts at 200k (nicer wines more expensive for the same size glass). We saw a proper glass of wine coming out and asked about it, but the waitress told us that the customer had ordered a "double wine".
If people need to order a "double wine" to get a normal looking glass, your measure is too small. International standard measure is 175ml for a small glass - this was definitely less than that. At least advertise how many ml the serving is if you're going to go below the accepted standard.
Just very overpriced for what it is.
The band was decent, but certainly not an "acoustic band" (this definitely isn't an acoustic bar, but rather a general live music bar - don't come here expecting an acoustic set). Standard rock/pop covers.
Service was quite slow. Would be fine if it was fairly priced, but 190k for a can of coke? There's a mark up and then there's just...
