I came all the way from D7 to try the cheeseburger because I'd heard that it was awesome and it definitely lived up to the hype. Patty was very flavorful and cooked just right, and the vegetables on it were fresh. It held together well (burgers that fall apart or have toppings that slip out is a big pet peeve of mine). The only thing that could be improved was the amount of onions on it as there were only enough to cover maybe 2/3 of the buger at most. Still, awesome burger, and the fries that came with were very nice with good flavor. Very fair prices for the food and beer. You're not gonna get a better deal for quality bar food.
The service could've been a bit better. I was sitting outside and had to go in and ask for another beer when I wanted a 2nd one and I had to ask for napkins as well. That was a just a small issue though. I'd definitely go to Thao Dien again just to come back to Avenue as it seemed like a nice place to...
Read moreSo the menu advertised a breakfast sandwich and promised cheddar cheese. What I got was craft singles. I mean, they didn't even bother with cheddar flavored craft singles. It was, offensive. I did see a second dish offering 2 types of cheese so I wonder what they put on that? And the coleslaw side... they definitely bought that in. Worse, despite the premium price they didn't even buy quality coleslaw. I know this was bought in because I recognized the tasteless, dry texture of the overly mayonnaised cabbage from other poor quality eateries. It felt like a mouthful of dry tasteless mayo when I put it in my mouth. You can do much better in Thao Dien for the same or lower price point and get something that actually has real cheddar on it. I mean seriously, who is using kraft singles in Thao Dien?!?. I really, honestly can't think of a single other place. I actually went and had a second breakfast sandwich elsewhere. And it had...
Read moreI wanted to give a higher rating but due to the inconsistency in food delivery preparation, I felt a low score was more appropriate. I have now removed Avenue Saigon from my food list for deliveries due to their inconsistency, despite having been using them for well over 1 year now. My main point of disappointment is the BLT sandwich, which is shown (photo) to be toasted bread, but I rarely receive toasted style. It seems to me an attempt to toast the bread is made but impatience wins the day and it gets packed ready for delivery 1 or 2 minutes before necessary. If you advertise the bread as being toasted in the photo, then it should be TOASTED, EVERY single time, not just after a complaint, before reverting to barely toasted 2 weeks later. It really isn't difficult to understand. The bread has also become inconsistent, on occasions having large holes in the bread due to what can only be a poor...
