Unmatched Excellence in Vietnamese Street Food – Bánh Mì at Anh Phan
If you’re in search of the ultimate bánh mì experience in Vietnam, look no further than Anh Phan. Opened in 1999. This establishment has perfected the art of the Vietnamese baguette – light, crisp, and freshly baked – paired with a symphony of flavourful ingredients that capture the essence of Vietnamese culinary tradition. Every bite is a harmonious blend of textures and tastes: from the tender meats and tangy pickled vegetables to the signature sauces that elevate each sandwich to gourmet status.
Anh Phan doesn’t just serve bánh mì – they define what it should be. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local connoisseur, this is a culinary stop not...
Read moreI can’t say enough great things about this place. We stopped here two different times while visiting Saigon city. I highly recommend the pork banh mi. They have literally no shortage of bánh mì options. They are well priced and very close to other banh mi shop prices! Right across the street is a lovely little market, and there’s a grocery store right next to it as well. Sometimes they can be a little long because they’re so busy but that makes the food taste that much better. Again I highly recommend this place. You certainly won’t be...
Read moreThis place used to be good for years. They were one of the few places in HCM that made banh mi as good as vietnamese americans. Meanwhile 99% of all the banh mi places in HCM are terrible. It's sad how people in the land of banh mi can't make a good one. It seems recently they decided to copy Banh Mi Huynh Hoa style with thick looking but low quality ingredients. Huynh Hoa is terrible. The final nail for me was I went yesterday and ordered 3 banh mi thit nguoi(traditional style) and instead of asking me which one, they sold it for 5k over the most expensive version, which was 25k, without asking. It's not a lot of money but I hate this dishonesty in HCM. So many vendors do it.They think they only need to sell it to you once or something but this place have lost my business forever. Taste is now 3 stars but I'm giving it a 1 for the dishonesty.
