I immediately fell in love with the concept of “Cơm niêu”, and I’m heartbroken I won’t be getting a taste of it anytime soon. Offering claypot comforts intermixed with seafood and veggie stir fries, the braised cobia fish feigned innocence, initially concealed within a crowd. Like an assassin, it took my breath away after one taste, the flaky and tender flesh releasing an explosion of deeply sweet-savoury caramelized flavour. Along with the fish was a subtle brininess that complemented the sweetness to elevate this dish above the rest. Since there’s plenty to go around, you don’t have to fight your siblings over the best part of the rice: the crispy edges. The golden, crispy crust is contrasted with a soft, fluffy under-layer and accompanied with decadent crab fat sauce topped with fried pork bits to pack an extra dimension of texture. Another crowd-pleaser were the fried fish paste cake, with a flaky, golden-brown exterior and delightfully bouncy interior that’s packed with flavour. The veggies are stir-fried in garlic, and you’ll definitely know – garlic lovers rejoice – and serve as an extra component to the carousel of dishes to eat from.

Garlic fried rice is yummy and flavorful Fried egg with green onions is a must order item. Bitter melon is good and an item you must order. Vegetable item in the photo is my favorite item I had there.

Price for all dishes were relatively cheap considering it’s in Vietnam.

Quantity of food we got is a lot

We got the 4th floor all to ourselves and we’re accommodating.

Mình vừa chạy xe vào thì chú bảo vệ (hơi lớn tiếng) nói: "Để xe đó đi!". Không biết là do chú đang khó chịu trong người hay sao nên thôi cũng bỏ qua. Mình và người yêu tới quán khoảng 6h, bên trong lúc này khá vắng hay có thể nói là không có một ai trừ anh shipper đang đợi lấy món đi. Thế nhưng, nhân viên lại chỉ tụi mình ra ngồi ở cái bàn nhỏ nằm ngay giữa đường đi. Tụi mình hỏi vào phía trong được không, nhân viên nói không, bàn bên trong là cho 4 người ngồi. Nhưng lát sau có 2 người tới thì vẫn được vào bên trong đó?!?

Lúc này đã khá bực mình rồi, nhưng vì đã tới nên cũng cố gắng ngồi ăn tiếp. Ăn giữa chừng mình cần đi vệ sinh, nhà vệ sinh ở lầu 2, đi ngang qua 2 lầu mình mới biết các lầu bên trên đều không có một ai luôn. Là sao nhỉ, quy định của quán hay do nhìn tụi mình có vẻ ăn ít hay không trả nổi tiền và phải đi sớm?

Đó là chưa kể cầu thang dính nhơm nhớp, nhà vệ sinh đầy nước dưới sàn, trên bồn cầu cũng dính nước. Đi toilet mà cứ phải nhìn dòng nước đang lặng lẽ chảy về phía mình, y chang cảnh trong cái phim gì về ngày tận thế...

Nói chung là một trải nghiệm rất không vui khi đến quán, so với mức giá các món ăn. Nhưng cũng phải nói là thức ăn khá ngon, nêm nếm vừa, khẩu phần cũng vừa phải. Nếu có ai muốn thử thì mình nghĩ là nên đặt về nhà, lần sau mình cũng sẽ đặt về ăn...
