The food was good, so if you just want Thai take-out, this place would be fine for it. If you want a nice restaurant outing though, avoid this place at all costs, as there are many money-grab aspects. The atmosphere and dishonest business practices were very subpar to the food and completely ruined the dining experience.

We sat down for dinner and wondered why we were not given any water or any napkins apart for one small napkin and a wet wipe with it that were set on the table at the beginning of service. The food is quite messy to eat, especially with the small provided saucer, so you’d expect to have a stash of napkins on the table like any respectable restaurant.

We quickly realised at the end that it’s because they want to push you to pay for drinks, and they also charge 3k per wet wipe (that they provide you without asking if you want them at the beginning!). We only learnt about it when we questioned what is the 6k mysterious bill while paying.

VAT price was not mentioned anywhere on the menu as well, which was an extra 8% !

Thus, the bill was 789k for two people for a tomyum combo meal, a small appetiser and one milk tea. Plus their bullshit undisclosed extra fees. That places this as an above average price for dinner, and yet no water is served.

I’ve had complimentary water offered at the smallest cafes in Vietnam, it’s a service standard and almost an expectation for a restaurant of this price range.

The service is also quite slow, the servers take quite some time to clear the tables, even when it gets full and messy.

Now, to the food, most of it was very good, however the seafood included in some of our meals, namely the prawns and calamari, were painfully tasteless. The tomyum is average. The dip that comes with meat skewers is particularly good. There isn’t much blame to put on the kitchen, though they could pick...

Highly disappointed as I walked into the restaurant at about just after 6 pm and was immediately told I could not dine in because they were getting ready to close for tet (Viet new year). Luckily my intention was to take out since I was staying in the residence across the street. I ordered the papaya salad because it appeared authentic with the fermented crab present in the photo. I specifically asked for no sugar (not sweet), more sour and spicy. Was given the sweetest papaya salad I've ever tried in my life. I am Thai so I know not to expect Thai grade in Vietnam, but at least give me the taste I've specifically requested. The grilled steak I ordered was not fresh, extremely overcooked and also too sweet. Then I asked for regular sticky rice however appeared to get their sweet dessert coconut rice. 3 dishes, very small portion cost me just over 625k vnd = $30 usd. 😱 Food took so long to arrive and as I was waiting they proceeded to seat 4 different tables of families. We're they being racist? That's the vibe I got. I will never eat here nor recommend this place to anyone. Go to Thai...

Chill Thái definitely lived up to its name! The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and laid-back, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring the city. The decor was cool and stylish, with lots of greenery and comfortable seating. I especially loved the outdoor area, which was strung with fairy lights and had a really nice vibe.

The food was good – I tried the spring rolls and a beef pho, both of which were tasty and well-presented. The drinks menu was extensive, with plenty of cocktails, beers, and mocktails to choose from. I opted for a local craft beer and it was refreshing. Service was friendly and attentive, though a bit slow at times.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Chill Thái. It's a great spot to chill out with friends, have a few drinks, and enjoy some decent food. However, I wouldn't say it's the most authentic Vietnamese dining experience. If you're looking for something more traditional, you might want to explore...

The food is good but the restaurant is really hot inside, be prepare you are going to sweet. i ask for dinner plate they say they dont have it so i have to eat with saucer and spill all my food out of the plate, they don’t have proper flatware. They have spoon but not fork so really hard to eat specially if you have to eat prawn and peel the skin with your spoon only, the staff didn’t really speak english.the price is bit over price for that type of service and portion.
