Ambiance: 7/10 - Quite cramped inside, but you have booths for each group so it does maintain a bit of privacy Food Quality: 9/10 - Best katsu you can ever get out here. Also best curry you can get out there as well imo. Food has been mostly consistent throughout. Service: 7/10 - Ordering through the app could be a bit annoying but the staff is usually available to help you Value - 8/10 - It’s good value for your money because you will always come out full and happy Cleanliness: 7.5/10 - The kitchen looks a bit old because the business has been there for a long time.
Overall Score: 38.5/50
Location - 7.5/10 - Easy to find. If you’re driving, it’s kinda not ideal to go to any place in Japan town. Menu Variety: 8.5/10 - Much more variety and you can have very interesting combinations of katsu and other dishes. There’s something for everyone. Bathroom: 6.5/10 - Not bad. Not too nice. Clean. Noise: 7/10 - Surprisingly, not very noisy considering the traffic Space: 7/10 - It’s cramped if your group is bigger than 4. But otherwise, it’s perfect size.
Final score: 75/100
The food alone should make you want to go there. It could be hard to overlook the typical issues of a small japanese restaurant that service a lot of people everyday like cramped space that makes it look a bit less clean. However, it has been around for a long time, the food has been great and I highly recommend you to check out their katsu, as well as their curry, which is bomb.

Read morePlease re-train your staffs. They are not professional at all.
The kitchen staffs open loud music, talk and swear loudly. The waitresses (usually behind the front counter) sometimes go upstairs and talk with others, so there are no one at the counter and a customer has to go upstairs to call the waitress down in order to pay. I believe there are two waitresses and one supposed to stay by the counter.
They are also not attentive to the customers at all. During unexpected black out, kitchen staff laugh and talk loudly, while the waitresses don’t even support the customers. Take a long time for them to explain the situation to other customers and few customers have to walk out awkwardly. The staff would go up and down the stairs, talk loudly and I even see a staff couple walks hand in hand.
I come here quite often and the experience today upsets me. I also heard from my friend that the service quality between the 2 branches are day and night. The food is nice tho, but the experience...

Location: Right in the Japan Town area of Saigon, easy to find and a great spot if you’re craving Japanese comfort food.
Food: The katsu curry was excellent with crispy coating, juicy meat, and a rich, tasty curry sauce. The fried prawns were huge and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous, and the sides like salad and pickles were fresh and balanced the meal well.
Atmosphere: Relaxed and welcoming, with a nice vibe that makes it easy to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.
Service: Quick and friendly, everything came out hot and well presented.
Complaints ❌ ❌: Just that the miso soup had too many ingredients not like traditional seaweed miso. Also they were so busy that I wasn’t able to get a seat so I had to come back later.
Overall, Fujiro is one of the best spots in Saigon for Japanese comfort food. Highly recommend and will...
