5KU Station — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I recently visited 5KU Restaurant, hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst meals I've ever had.

From the moment we arrived, the service was lackluster. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which set a negative tone for the evening. The menu looked promising, but the reality was far from it.

The food was truly disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness. The ingredients appeared to be of poor quality, and the presentation was unappetizing. Even the simplest items, like the salads and appetizers, were subpar. The main courses were equally unimpressive, with overcooked meats and bland sauces. It was clear that there was no attention to detail in the kitchen.

Adding to the unpleasant experience, the ambiance of the restaurant was noisy and chaotic, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Despite the high prices, the overall quality of food and service was severely lacking.

Always loved to come here and always recommended the restaurant to my colleagues and friends whenever I got asked where should they go for food in Saigon. However, the service I received on my last visit was horrible. The server who served our table was extremely rude to me. It started with my non Vietnamese friend tried to order our drink in Vietnamese, this guy came with the drink and I ordered extra 1 more beer. Instead of taking the order in the polite manner, he yelled at me in Vietnamese “Why didn’t you order at once?!”… I didn’t take it to heart at first but it escalated when I ordered the dish which i pointed mistakenly on the menu, but soon after that we realised the mistake we made, we fixed it. Yet, the dish still came out with the one we tried to get it replaced. It was a seafood lover's paradise. The standout feature of this restaurant is undoubtedly the freshness of their seafood. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that the ingredients were of the highest quality. One of the highlights of my meal was the chicken cartilage dish.
