Highlands Coffee — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Another disappointing visit to a Vietnamese franchise cafe. Just like Phuc Long and Cong Cafe, Highlands takes your order and money and then you have to go and pick up the things you ordered from the counter because they can’t be bothered to bring orders to your table, even though there are normally 4 or 5 staff standing around behind the counter doing very little. It is especially irritating that if you try to wait by the counter for your order, they tell you to take a seat, knowing that if you want to sit on an upper level , that means trekking up and down, back and forth just to get a drink. Extremely inconvenient. Additionally, this is my second time ordering at a Highlands franchise where my order has been completely forgotten and I’ve had to get up and remind them after a 10 minute wait. So that makes 3 trips. Maybe Highlands should refashion themselves as gymcafes considering how much they make you work for...
