Nhà Hàng Thiên Nam — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Visited here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant has two storeys. The lower level was almost full with a couple of tables displaying 'reserved' signs. We were directed upstairs by an elderly gentleman who could have been the proprietor. A steep flight of steps leads you upstairs where it is quite spacious. I didn't count the exact number but there may have been approx 6 to 8 tables upstairs. The menus were brought out immediately and it was explained that there were two separate menus, a French and a Chinese menu. So you can choose between two types of cuisines or just order from both. We ordered the stir fried noodles. The beer was nice and cold. It took quite a while for our order to be brought to the table while we noticed that others who had placed their orders well after us had their food brought to the table quicker. The worst restaurant Ive ever come in HCMC! As a local, I can imagine only non-experienced local or tourists would ever have any meal here. They serve both Chinese n Western dishes and non of those is edible, not to mention worth the ripped-off prices. You sell over-priced food then at least that has to be edible first! DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve had a ton of Vietnamese, Chinese, and American food and this place is inedible and extremely overpriced. We had the snails w cheese which is a popular dish. It was good but not worth the price. Everything else was actually inedible. We got the special stuffed chicken for 370,000 each and couldn’t even eat a bite. The chicken had a rotten smell and was dry as the dessert. The pate smelled and taste like rotten liver.
