The service tonight we had was probably the worst we have ever had. We were directed to Laang from another restaurant as they were fully booked up. We were given a menu and sat at a table. We then waited in the region of 20 minutes to place our order - this had to be prompted by a waitress who was clearing the next table. We had hoped to have at least ordered some drinks while we were looking at the menu. We finally ordered the drinks and food. The drinks came straight away but the restaurant was busy so we knew the food would take a while. My dish and the steamed rice came out. After 20 minutes my wife's dish hadn't appeared. When we asked where it was, it became evident that it had not been cooked. My wife then had to wait another 5-10 minutes before her dish was served. Even then, all we got was garlic morning glory and not the other two main dishes we ordered, so we had to go to our appointment without having a proper lunch.
When we were paying, staff made another mistake of trying to charge us for the duck (200k dong) which we never got instead of morning glory we had (~100k dong). It was apparent that staff needed a lot more training, attention to detail, and a better system to service...

In a city this noisy, this is a haven of peace and tranquility to unwind in. The drinks were quickly delivered while we made our food choices and they had such interesting dishes to choose from. None of us wanted a huge meal but there was something for everyone, whether you favoured red meat or seafood. The grilled prawn and pomelo salad was light but delicious. My husband loved his beef salad so much that he even ate and enjoyed the greens because of the dressing. All six of us thought it was the best food we had eaten in Vietnam and the service was excellent as well. Definitely...
