I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the omakase at Sushi Koji, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. Every course was a work of art, showcasing the chef’s incredible skill and passion for sushi. The freshness and quality of the fish were unparalleled, and each bite seemed to melt in your mouth.
Chef Minh's attention to detail was impressive, as he expertly balanced flavors and textures with precision. The progression of dishes was thoughtfully curated, starting with delicate, lighter bites and building up to richer, more complex flavors. The chawanmushi, uni don and kamatoro were absolute standouts, but every piece had its own unique charm.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was intimate and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without being intrusive. It felt like a personalized experience, and the chef's interactions with guests added a warm, personal touch.
If you’re a sushi lover or just someone who appreciates top-tier culinary artistry, Sushi Koji’s omakase is a must-try. Worth every penny, and I will definitely be returning! Five stars,...
Read moreI had an omakase evening at Sushi Koji in the beginning of Feb 2025. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of a building on Ngo Van Nam street. I was greeted and led to my seat by the staff and then started my dinner. As the head of the restaurant is an Japanese chef who hold so many years of experience in different countries, the ambience of the restaurant made me feel like I was in Japan. There are 2 menus which are the Ume and Take that cost around 2 mils and 2.6 mils respectively. The one that costs more have a few more dishes to go with. The taste and the vibe of the dinner were impeccable. As you know, omakase is like eating while watching a show by the chef, it is interesting to be able to observe how the chef prepare your food with their skillful hands. You can even chit chat with the chef on his history, the dishes, etc which is such an amusing opportunity as usually, you only get served sushi at your table at a normal sushi restaurant. I strongly recommend you guys to try this once when you...
Read moreNOT recommended for Christmas. 1/ reservation said the dining would be from 17:30 till 20:00, but actually finished at 18:30, took only 1 hour to finish all course. 2/ sashimi plater for Christmas menu only has 3 type of delis. 3/ 3,000K/person with no scallop, oyster, or platyceros like photos in other review. 4/ overall course doesn’t match the expectation from other reviews. Staff explained that the A5 wagyu is in bigger size than normal. Shame for a omakase restaurant using better land meat instead of choosing ocean delis. 5/ it’s acceptable for a more expensive menu on Christmas night but courses were not satisfied even compare to the usual. Ruined my...
