Let me preface this by saying I really wanted to love OLiu Do. The atmosphere was what drew me in - charming European vibes in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City. The staff were friendly and the menu looked promising, with both Vietnamese and European options.

However, my experience ended up being a bit average. I tried the Bò Beefsteak Úc (Australian beefsteak) which everyone seemed to recommend online. The steak itself was cooked well, but it felt like something missing. Maybe a bit more seasoning or a more interesting sauce? My friend got a pasta dish that seemed a bit on the bland side as well.

The lunch crowd from nearby offices often comes in during the afternoon for quality grilled meats as well good salads.

Prices are moderate, portions are about average for a European-style meal. My favorite dishes are the lamb chops or grilled lamb.

Most of the appetizers are really well presented. I say most because we have not tried them all. Anything we have tried is delicious. Flavors are enough too bold. Textures, variety, and presentation are above average for a smaller restaurant.

Whilst staying at Icon 56 Apartments. We visited this restaurant 3 times. The mostly western food we ate was of good quality and well priced. The manager was very helpful and had good english.
